Time continues on its, frankly, terrifying and inevitable march, and we are now just one week out from the launch of our crowdfunding campaign for The Deepest Dark!

We've got all sorts of things planned for it, including a two-part oneshot on the Tin Can Audio Twitch channel on Monday 2nd February and Wednesday 4th February! We'll be streaming from 8-10:30pm GMT.

The cast for this one is pretty star-studed, and I can't wait to see how they play the game. We'll also be seeing our composer, Amber Devereux of Tin Can Audio, live-scoring the game as we play.

I'm not a great fan of "x is the first to y" marketing, but it feels like that's got to be a first of some kind, right?

In addition, we've added an Early Backer Incentive, specifically, Georgia Cook's short story The Deepest Dark, which she wrote long before she met me. It follows two women surveying folklore-riddled local caves and it's fantastic. We'll also be giving all Early Backers a free audio file of Georgia herself narrating the story, just to say thank you.

As for me, once I've finished the final pre-project admin, I'm heading to Norfolk for one of my favourite TTRPG conventions (Contingency) where I'll be playtesting both The Deepest Dark and our cross-collaborator's game, Blightfall. I love playtesting, it's always really fascinating what people do and don't respond to creatively, and it's exactly why I enjoy TTRPG writing so much.
