Hello everyone! It is less than 72 hours until the campaign ends now- which is blowing my mind just how fast time is passing! It feels like we just launched yesterday...
But let's not dilly dally too much- You're here for an update on the stretch goals that I promise in the last post. So here they are!
These pins are all going to be 5 inches in size with rainbow metal, screenprint, sandblasted effects, glow in the dark enamel AND be multi layered for maximum depth effect. They will also cost €69 each because of the difficulty level... I hope you all understand just how complex these pins are to make, and I hope it doesn't deter anyone from pledging for them!!!

Not let's start over.... FROM THE TOP!

Starting with the Virtue; it's job in the angelic hierarchy can look a little dubious and like its interchangeable with the Dominion choir. However, since I'm taking the executive decision that the Dominion is the keeper of the universe, we're going to shrink the viewpoint for the Virtue and focus on something very Earthly: plants!
These two designs we're both suggestions from your comments on the suggestion post: a weevil and madagascan sunset moth. I wanted to keep the focus on plantlife on both of these so I'll break down the design phylosophy behind them.
The weevil has a very simple weevil shape, with its wings that will match the other angels with recessed metal. It's abdomen is that of a still un-opened rose, and it sits atop a succulent. The moth has wings for feet and a halo, while it's wings are pure flowers. The flowers will follow the colour scheme of the actual moth's wings, which are very colourful already. The species of plants on it will be: succulent, green-yellow anthurium, grape hyacinth, helenium, and tulips.
It is YOUR choice on which one of these will be chosen. And you have 24 hours to vote on this before I continue on to make colourways for the next vote.
Something very important to me when I was first starting out the Biblically Accurate Bugs was to put a wasp in good light. At the time I was starting out I didn't know which role it would fulfill, but thanks to the campaign I am very happy to finally give it a very important role: an Archangel.
Archangels are the protectors, the ones who fight off demons and the ones who communicate between the different planes. Different religions have different variations of their roles and how they're referred to in their respective texts; but all we're going to focus on here is that they're the ones who fight and protect.
Assigning a wasp to this choir fits like a charm, I think. Wasps have a very bad reputation in the world, while in reality they quite frankly are pest control. They keep the populations of other bugs down to manageable levels, whether by preying on them or as a parasitic counterpart. They're very intelligent and fascinating creatures in the bug world in my opinion, but get such a bad rep from people unsure on how to interact with them.
So to put them into good light they're getting the same job here like on Earth. This Archangel carries a mighty battleaxe and a kind feathered face with simple yet slim wings.
All three of these pins will be 2 inches and with some sort of special effect- whether its glitter or pearl that is still up for debate. But they will match the other 5 angels with recessed metal wings.
I am also very happy to announce that the Archangel was unlocked last night! So they are going to be made either way! :D
So that leaves us with only 1 stretch goal left... the one a lot of people have been looking forward to and its secrecy.
Welcome, Lucifer.
I wanted to keep this pin for last- as I wasn't entirely sure if I should make it or not. However, there's so many more angel choirs than demonic sins, that I thought that adding one more demon would make the uneven number a little more even. Luci's head is based off a stag beetle pupa and the rest an amalgamation of other bugs.
Lucifer is going to be a speciality pin.
I am thinking about making it 3 inches in size max. Maybe a little less, I have to print it out and test some sizing on him. But the wings themselves will be transparent stained glass enamel. I am hoping this will give a very nice iridescent shimmer to them in the light. This design is still very much in progress, and I am absolutely open to hearing your thoughts :) Especially about large sized pins!
Making this pin bigger will also mean the price will be different compared to the rest of the angels and demons sharing the same price point. I wanted to make that clear before anything!

This whale fall pin from The Brine Pool steals my heart... honestly all the design do. So many silly and weird creatures in that one!
A hard choice from the Celestial Ocean campaign... but I just do love the colours on these sea dragons.
I love birds! I love griffins!! And the colour scheme on this one is just great. Check out another mythology based campaign, Mytho Menagerie.

Possibly the most intricate pins you'll ever find. The hawk just speak to me on another level even if its not my year! Take a peak at all the Animal Talismans, they're stunning.
I just love this set of gothic western monsters (along with the cyberpunks). Themed Monster Enamel Pins has SO many design, it's really hard to just choose one!
