Last night we sent you all a discount code for the Print-On-Demand version of our stretch goals for Stewpot.
Although putting Dice, Dungeons, and Delicacies in POD was not one of our promised rewards, we thought it was only fair to give you a 20% discount as supporters of the campaign.
So for those of you who love to have a physical copy to read, cherish, and mark up, head over to DriveThruRPG and you can have your own copy of Dice, Dungeons, and Delicacies for just over 7 bucks.
Stewpot is now officially available to the public! If your friends missed the Backerkit campaign, they can order the book from their FLGS or directly from us here.
This marks the end of the BackerKit campaign. We've delivered all the rewards, both digital and physical, along with the stretch goals.
We also sent out the replacement cards that correct the misprints we inadvertently included in the card deck. Our warehouse shipped the replacement cards via first class mail back in late December.
If you have any outstanding issues with your pledge (damaged book, didn't get your replacement cards, etc.) please email our customer service person at [email protected]. This is the quickest, most direct way for us to get your issue taken care of. We try to monitor the comments here, but frankly, we just have to funnel it over to a customer support ticket anyhow.
This brings the campaign to an end, but as we all know: the end of one quest is just an opportunity to begin a whole new phase of life.
"Time passes. Rough edges are sanded down. Before you know it, life in town has become like breathing. You gather in your favorite part of the tavern and wonder where the time has gone." -Stewpot, In the Rhythm of Things
Thank you for your support and helping to get this game out in the wider world!
Fulfillment continues, with pledges that include Limited Edition covers coming into the mix this week as well.
We have some important news for those of you who chose the custom deck of cards. Despite our best efforts, three cards have small but crucial mistakes on them:
The Queen of Diamonds has a Heart symbol instead
The Jack of Clubs has a Spade symbol instead
The Ten of Diamonds has a Six in one corner instead of a Ten
Obviously this impacts the usability of the deck. Here's our plan to fix it:
We've corrected the errors on those three cards and are having them reprinted by the same manufacturer, to the same specs. The replacement cards will be the exact same quality as the rest of the cards in the deck.
When manufacturing is complete, we'll be sending the replacements for those three cards to everyone who pledged for a deck.
There will be no additional cost to any of our backers. This was our mistake and we're taking responsibility for the costs of creating the cards and shipping the three new replacement cards.
We just identified the issues yesterday, so we don't have a firm timeline yet for when the three replacement cards will go out. We'll post another update when we have a better idea of manufacturing dates.
We're sorry the deck wasn't perfect right out of the gate. We try to do our absolute best to make sure our products are quality items you're proud to own, and we slipped up here. We're going to improve our QA processes going forward.
If you have any questions about the replacement process (or anything else related to your pledge) please email us at [email protected] and we'll attend to your issue as quickly as we can.
The headline says it all: Our first wave of books has left the warehouse and started arriving on doorsteps.
Here's the rundown on where things are at, and what to expect:
Our warehouse partner (Atlas Games in Duluth, MN) has begun fulfilling those pledges which just include the standard edition cover. The standard edition books were ready first, so those orders are getting priority.
There was a printing error with the covers of the Limited Edition but we caught it in time. Those books needed to be fixed but that is now complete and our warehouse should start processing pledges that include Limited Edition books starting next week.
All the extra components (dice, cards, coin) were finished some time ago. If you have those in your pledge, they will not affect when your order gets processed.
As of this morning, the PDF, Accessible PDF, and DriveThruRPG codes for the PDF have been distributed to backers. Look for an email titled "New Digital Content for Stewpot: Tales From A Fantasy Tavern on BackerKit" from [email protected]. It will have a link to download those files/codes.
The Roll20 module is still under development but we hope to release that in the next three weeks.
The stretch goals are largely complete, we are doing a final layout pass/touch-up and plan to release that soon as well. Again: a select set of stretch goals were included in the books (like a few of the new games and the recipes). All remaining stretch goals will be delivered as a separate PDF.
Please note: Earlier this week we released a version of the PDF that accidentally left out the copyright page and therefore the CC-BY-SA declaration. We updated the file yesterday to fix that omission.
If you have any customer service issues (a damaged book, change of address, etc) please email us at [email protected]. We try to monitor the comments here but emailing us is the best (and quickest!) way to get eyes on your issue.
That's the status update! Proud to note that most backers will get the rewards for this project a solid four months ahead of our projected delivery date.
We do our best to make games that aren't just a pleasure to play, but a treasure to hold and look at. We're very happy with how Stewpot turned out. As we head into the winter season, we hope you enjoy some chill, cozy times recounting the tales of your retired adventurers.
Hello friends, we'll cut to the chase: We'll be locking down orders in the next 48 hours. The print run for Stewpot is almost complete, we expect to take delivery of the books at our fulfillment warehouse by the end of the week.
If you have anything you want to add to your pledge, now is the time to do it!Review your pledge here.
We're in the process of finalizing the shipping costs. Once those have been nailed down and the pledges are locked in, we will be charging your card for shipping (if you are receiving the book or other physical rewards).
Then it's on to the home stretch: fulfillment. We'll release the final PDF to all backers after orders are locked and shipping is charged. Our fulfillment house needs a couple days to prep once they receive the pallets of books. Short version: We expect to start shipping rewards within the first two weeks of November if everything continues to flow as planned. That's four months ahead of our projected delivery date.
Thanks for your support! There's been a terrific outpouring of love for Stewpot and we're very much looking forward to getting this game into your hands. We'll have another update for you when we start the actual fulfillment process.
One final note: Monster of the Week is a fun, fluid RPG about supernatural monster hunters investigating weird phenomena and battling powerful cryptids. You may have heard it played on The Adventure Zone, The CritShow, and elsewhere.
