Our art is inspired by our vision of a world where vultures are cherished for their vital role in maintaining our ecosystems. A world where vultures thrive in their natural habitats, where so many of their species are no longer teetering on the brink of extinction.
Why Vultures? Vultures are the most imperiled family of birds in the world and are in desperate need of support. They offer critical services purifying and preventing disease through their necessary clean-up work, protecting the health of ecosystems, other wildlife, and humans alike. Far from the greedy, sinister monsters that too many people think they are, vultures are intelligent, social, peaceful, gregarious birds.
Unfairly maligned, it is of great importance to help change peoples' attitudes towards these amazing birds. The way they are represented in media matters. These beautiful pins strive to help people spread the good word; vultures rock!

With a deep passion for connecting people and wildlife through art, we have crafted these wearable works of art to inspire conversations about the plight of vultures, and to ignite a spark of change. Our art also helps directly support our work in wildlife rescue & rehabilitation, through our non-profit organization, Foxloft Vulture Conservancy.
Each meticulously designed pin seeks to capture the essence of these remarkable creatures. Crafted with unparalleled attention to detail, these pins are talismans that embody our shared commitment to awareness, action, and conservation of the species they represent. These are large pins, more of statement pieces to show off their detail, not tiny lapel pins. The final size of the pins will be approximately 3.5"-2.5" in size for their longest dimension.

This striking blue jay pendant is available in the pendant tier or as an optional add-on for $45. This large pendant will be approx. 4" wide x 3" tall, and will hang from a silver-finished cable chain (available in multiple length choices from 16" - 24") with lobster-style clasp for easy wear.

This charming pair of Valley Quail earrings, is available through the earring tier pledge or as an optional add-on for $45. Rough charm sizing approx. 1" tall each. They hang from gold plated stainless steel fishhook ear wires to be as hypoallergenic as possible (wires approx. 19mm). Please note the charms themselves are mixed metals. Earrings will be made as small and light as they can be but as they are still sizeable charms, please keep in mind they may not be suitable for extremely sensitive ears.

If unlocked, this striking pair of earrings featuring mirrored magpies will be available through the earring tier pledge or as an optional add-on for $45 . Rough charm sizing approx. 1.75" tall x .75" wide each. They hang from stainless steel fishhook ear wires (approx. 17mm) to be as hypoallergenic as possible. Please note the charms themselves are mixed metals. Earrings will be made as small and light as they can be but as they are still sizeable charms, please keep in mind they may not be suitable for extremely sensitive ears.
The Himalayan Griffon Vulture designs (this pendant and the portrait style pin) feature a motif of colorful prayer flags flying under snow-capped mountains, inspired by this common sight in their homelands. This elegant pair of earrings, featuring a matched goose and swan, is available through the earring tier pledge or as an optional add-on for $45. Rough charm sizing approx. 1.75" tall each. They hang from gold plated stainless steel fishhook ear wires to be as hypoallergenic as possible (wires approx. 19mm). Please note the charms themselves are mixed metals. Earrings will be made as small and light as they can be but as they are still sizeable charms, please keep in mind they may not be suitable for extremely sensitive ears.

*The 5 pin sets come packaged together as a group, substitutions are not allowed. There are 10 and 20 pin tiers where you can choose all the individual pins and make your own set if you like! Thank you for understanding.
Each one-of-a-kind painting is approximately 5-6" x 10-11", painted on 9" x 12" archival watercolor paper and is signed by the artists (except the flying Red-Tailed Hawk, flying Himalayan Griffon Vulture, and White-Rumped Vulture pieces, which are larger and painted on 12" x 18" paper). Every original painting tier also comes with a full set of all unlocked pins and stickers, 1 of each design (up to 16 pins and 20 stickers).

Fine art prints are reproductions of the original paintings on heavy, archival paper. Each print will come packaged in a protective clear sleeve with a backing board. They will look great displayed on your wall, or make great gift ideas for any bird lover in your life!

Use add-ons to create your own custom package tier!
You can add additional items to your pledge by simply choosing the item(s) you would like in the add-on page that comes up after you choose your pledge tier. All add-ons require the base pledge to be at pin tier ($20) or up so that shipping is calculated correctly. If you pick a sticker only ($5 or $15) tier and add-ons, we will contact you about the additional shipping charges if necessary.
More add-ons (pendants and earrings) become available as they unlock as stretch goals! You can check back and add items to your pledge until the project ends.
If you pledge to this campaign, after it closes, you will get a survey by email where you pick applicable item choices (such as what individual designs you want for your pins or prints). The survey also includes an add-on shop available for a short time after the project ends but before items ship, where you can add additional items you may want and enjoy the combined shipping discount.
*Please note that due to major global supply chain and shipping issues I made a generous estimate for the amount of time it will take to ship pins, trying to account for any uncertainty or delays. We will try to get pins made and shipped as quickly as possible and will keep all backers informed of progress. Please watch your email in the coming months, and make sure your email listed with Kickstarter is correct - if you use an Apple ID this often creates a nonsensical email and you won't receive messages. You can always come back to your Backerkit account here to check what email you have listed, and look at this page directly under the update/community tabs near the top to catch up on project updates at any time.
Once the project is funded and closes, surveys will be emailed to backers to select your pin choices and any optional add-on items. Sticker-only pledges will be sent quickly, as soon as we have the stickers in hand (usually about a month) after project close. It should take around 2-3 months for all the pins to be made, then 1-2 months in transit to arrive to us. Pin orders will be promptly shipped out once we receive the pins, but it takes time to individually sort, grade, check, and pack each pin, so please have patience. Updates will be sent by email monthly, sharing progress pictures and keeping you in the loop until your items have shipped.
Estimated timeline:
5/20/25 - Campaign launches
6/5/2025 - Campaign ends! After close, cards will be charged for payment. About two weeks after, item selection surveys are sent out by email and the Backerkit store opens for optional add-on pledge purchases.
June/July 2025 - Pledges which include only stickers and/or art prints ship out.
June 2025-August 2025 - Pin creation magic! While they're being made and then shipped to us, monthly progress updates and photos will be sent by email and posted to this page to keep you informed.
September 2025/October 2025- After a final quality check, pins/jewelry items will ready and will be shipped out to backers. You will get a notification and have a chance to change your address at least 48 hours before items are shipped in case you move during the process.
October/November 2025 - Pins are received by backers (Please allow additional time for international shipping).
Shipping is charged after the campaign is over, separate from your pledge amount. Make sure to budget for the estimated shipping cost, listed in each tier!
Tracking and Insurance: We want to do everything we can to make sure your pledges get securely and safely to you! We provide tracking and proof of shipping information via email, standard on all tiers except those which include stickers only of 5 or less. Insurance (covering loss or damage in transit) can be purchased for any tier for a small cost as an optional add-on when selecting your tier. We cannot control what happens with packages once they are in the hands of the postal service, and as a very small business we can not replaced lost/misdelivered packages that are due to USPS error, so if you are worried about potential delivery issues please purchase the shipping insurance option. If you worry about your packages being stolen once delivered (insurance does not cover packages lost or stolen after they are marked as delivered) please contact us about having it held for pickup at your local post office, or use a different, secure location for delivery.
UK special info/VAT: Since we are based in the USA, UK shipping requires pre-paid VAT (currently at 20% rate), which we have to collect and remit on your behalf. This will be collected separately at checkout along with shipping, not with your pledge here. You will get an invoice for the VAT after campaign close when you get your final survey. All UK orders will include a receipt when shipped showing the VAT fee has been pre-paid, you don't pay it again when receiving the package.
International Shipping: With exception of UK VAT, which we collect and remit, buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that your country may apply. We charge actual shipping and packaging costs, we apologize that they are so high to many countries. We've tried to keep the cost as low as possible by streamlining packaging and weight and using a discounted global shipping service. You can help buffer costs by combining orders with friends or purchasing a larger number of pins to offset the charges. It's a lot less expensive per pin to send 10 than to send 1. Potential customs and duties charges are the responsibility of the recipient, please check with your local post on procedure if you have any questions.
Canada and Other Countries Postal Strikes: If shipping to Canada (or any country) is not possible due to a postal strike, we will hold your items until the US and Canada post are accepting shipments again.
Note about shipping to Russia: We cannot currently ship any items to Russia (there is a postal blockade), so if you place a pledge from Russia please have an alternative address in another country where you can have the items sent to.
Abandoned Items: After the campaign closes, surveys will be sent by email to the email you have on file with Kickstarter. If for some reason you aren't hearing from us, please check your account here, as we send messages through Kickstarter directly if we haven't heard back from you about your address or item choices. Sometimes a letter is off in your listed email, the email is old/defunct, or it's going to spam. We will hold your items for up to a year after fulfillment begins, but if we get no contact then they will be considered abandoned and will be donated to a charitable organization. Please feel free to check in any time, we do try to contact people through other routes but have had people come back five or more years after a campaign is closed asking about items and we don't always still have rewards available with that sort of timeframe. Thank you for your understanding!
Risks & Challenges We have run and fulfilled multiple successful Kickstarter projects before (this is our 9th crowdfunding campaign!) and have a lot of experience making pins and stickers. The process is one we're very familiar with, know what to expect, and how to plan. The biggest challenges right now are potential manufacturing and shipping (especially international) delays and unpredictable tariff war and global trade issues. We'll be working closely with the various manufacturers involved to try to ensure prompt and safe shipping but as this is a massive global supply chain problem, there are many unknowns. We will endeavor to get pins to backers as quickly as possible but there is the chance of delay in fulfillment if any of these external parts of the chain get stalled. We built in considerable extra buffer in time estimates for final delivery to account for this, but it can be impossible to predict all delays. We will keep in contact with all backers as the fulfillment process progresses to keep everyone informed of any issues if they arise.
