You might have noticed the change this year from Kickstarter to Backerkit as a platform - one big difference from the visible side is that Kickstarter includes shipping costs in the 'funds raised'/total amount, which Backerkit does not. This pads the numbers for Kickstarter campaigns to look significantly bigger than they are, for us it accounts for over 20% of overall funding. That makes each funding benchmark even more significant on our end, and offers a better idea of actual funding, but is likely to show as if things here are a bit 'slower' than on the previous platform.
One really nice difference is the 'Community' tab you can check in on when you look at the project page; there you can see the progress towards stretch goals and we'll be hosting a few fun things like a photo contest (for birds of course!) where you'll be able to vote for winners using the polls and an upcoming livestream event.
