Project Update: Surveys coming soon!
Hello all!
Just wanted to give you a quick update on where things stand and answer a few questions.
Work has been continuing on the suits, and we've been working to get the designs for the next round of samples pixel perfect before casting them, since these will be the 3D template that all the coins will utilize, and it's taking more iterations to get them looking right and modeled just the way we want on the master template. We're anticipating a few more weeks to get the new samples in hand, which will include all of the colors and finishes available!
We've finished drafting the pledge surveys and pledge level questions and issued a limited "smoke test" to a handful of backers to identify issues and potential pitfalls. Once we've ironed out any kinks in the surveys, they'll be ready for release. Once that's complete though, we're going to wait just a bit longer before sending them out, since we want to make sure colors/finishes have good pictures available before people start selecting their coin colors, to save having to revisit it later.
Timeline
Once you receive your pledge survey, you can modify and upgrade your pledge, make adjustments over time (including updating your address), or finalize your order up until the last few days before things start to ship. You'll usually be charged for any add-ons within a week of filling out those surveys, and shipping will be charged for your order once those surveys are submitted - please plan accordingly!
Future updates will includes photos and better looks at items, so don't feel like you have to make immediate selections without having seen the next stages. There will be plenty of time between survey release and shipping later this year.
Color / Finish Selections
Once we get the latest samples in hand, we'll post some good pictures for comparisons, since we're still awaiting samples of Rainbow and Black for demoing.
Boxes and Packaging
We're still cooking on the packaging front - once we've got all of the coins starting their molding process, we'll be turning our attention to the various packaging and boxes for the different pledge levels and should have both refined concept and prototype photos coming down the pipeline.
24k Gold Plating
Regarding the 24k gold stretch goal add-on; this is available as an add-on, but has been modified to be an 18k gold plating by default, since it will be more durable in common usage and hold up better than 24k gold . If you are looking to just get a shiny or antique gold finish for look, we'd recommend just choosing Shiny Gold / Antique Gold rather than the plated gold, but if you prefer the energetics of gold or want it for display purposes, we can do a 24k gold version. We will be happy to accommodate, but please contact us directly if you want to get it, and we can handle them on a case by case basis. We don't anticipate getting many requests for it, so just shoot us a message.
Pay Later
We're new to BackerKit's pay over time feature, and have been informed that backers that used Pay Later will receive their surveys automatically when the final payment has been made.
Preorder Store
The store is now live for anyone who wasn't an original backer and still wants to order Tarot Coins or any of the addons, and will continue taking preorders / late pledges. Surveys will be sent out at the same time as the original backer ones.
