Project Update: ⚔️ 5️⃣ Match 5: Rattle Teregon vs. Stone Tongue
Dungeon Denizens II has more than 350 interesting monsters, and our March Monster Madness is showcasing many of their exciting abilities! The winner of match 4 was: Cinder Teregon! At a 62-38 split, there were good arguments on both sides. But as one backer put it, "I can only imagine Cinder Teregon being a big bug zapper in this bout."
Now that 4 fights are settled, we can see what our first two quarter-final matchups will be: Glass Elemental vs. Mecharachnid, and Misalvras vs. Cinder Teregon (see graphic below). Those are going to be some interesting fights! But they have to cool their heels for now while we attend to today's matchup:
Round 1, match 5: Rattle Teregon vs Stone Tongue
We’re entering the second half of the first round! And kicking off this part of the bracket are two monsters with dramatically different styles!
The Rattle Teregon is a dry-climate creature that uses its tail to rattle out a warning to anything that dares to approach it. If they aren’t wise enough to pay heed, then they will be met by a venomous bite and poisonous gas—not to mention tearing teeth and clutching claws!
Coming closer isn’t on the Stone Tongue’s mind, though! Like a stony barnacle this creature cements itself to a surface and uses its long, sticky tendrils to grab their prey and pull them into the terrifying texture of its stony skin!
What will win out? The unmoving object or the solitary beast? The answers will be unveiled in the center of the arena once these two find themselves in the unfriendly confines of the Monster Madness Tournament!
Who do you think is going to move forward? Vote today!
Important procedural update: We're posting this on a Friday, with no plans for weekend fights. Because the next round will be announced Monday, this fight will be open for voting until midnight Sunday.
How does this work? Vote in the poll below for the monster that you think would win in a fight. Each weekday there's a new bout. Winners advance, losers die. Eventually there will be only two! Every backer who participates by voting is entered into a drawing to win original art, as shown in this earlier update!
