Happy Monday, everyone! Dungeon Denizens 2 has 350+ intriguing monsters, and our March Monster Madness matches them up to see "who would win in a fight"! The winner of match 5 was: Stone Tongue! At a 67-33 split, it is a pretty resounding victory. I think I can sum up many of the backer comments with: "Patience is a virtue," and the Stone Tongue benefits from that.
Now it's time for match 6. I've been waiting for this one. What could be better than a brain in a jar?
Round 1, match 6: BIAB (Brain-In-A-Beaker) vs. Ethereal Maw
I don’t think you can call this one a no-brainer! In fact, it’s all about the brain — at least for the one in a beaker! While on the other end, we’ve got a creature that is quick to act and fast to eat. And it’s looking at the glass in front of it like a ready-to-eat delight!
The BIAB — or Brain in a Beaker for some — is a creature using magic to hold onto a semblance of life, but that doesn’t make it helpless. It will use its powerful mind to psychically attack its foe, with some magic spells as a back-up plan!
Don’t tell the Etheral Maw any of that, though. It has one thing on its mind, and that thing is dinner! Once it has you inside its gullet the digestion begins, and that mouth is able to put an amazing amount inside it!
Get ready to sink your teeth into a battle of brawn vs. brain! Might vs magic! Physical vs psychical! They say that fish is good for the brain, but will the brain be good for the fish? Whatever the end result, this is going to be a hard, fast fight!
