Hello all!!! I am back and recovered from my weekend event - thank you to everyone who came out to stickercon, what a blast!! My next event is the Animetown convention in Utah at the end of this month, and then Anthro Weekend Utah the following week, but that means now I have some time to catch up on everything else before my next events!
To start, Juno has been UNLOCKED! Juno only won the last poll by a total of like 5 votes, which was a very slim margin!! I started up the next poll right before I left for my event, but didn't have time to put out an update, so it's already got some votes, but I will leave it up until we are getting close to 42K! Things have slowed down a bit, but I still believe we'll be able to unlock a few more goals! Please be sure to share with your friends if you're able to help us get closer! :D
Next, since we've been able to unlock the first 5 goals, I'd like to add some blanket designs as add-ons! I've made a blanket of my character doodles previously, but I'm curious as to what style and which characters you'd like to see on the blanket designs! I thought a quilt themed design would be cute, but another fun idea would be just sort of a vintage bedtime character blanket, there seem to be a lot of them with like carebears and such featuring them snoozing on clouds and moons that could be really cute! If we come up with a ton of ideas I may hold a poll to help us narrow it down too, but for now, feel free to shout out any ideas that you have! :D
Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who's backed so far!! We're coming up on 35K so it's time to decide which plushie will be unlocked next!! I've added our new jackalope friend to the poll as well, but I do need to come up with a name for them still! So far all the buddies' names follow a specific convention of having two syllables and ending in vowel sounds, so I'll be brainstorming a name that fits in! :D
I also wanted to note, I've got an event I am vending at coming up on Sunday (called Stickercon, held at Copperhive Vintage in SLC!) so I will be away for a few days preparing and recovering from that, but I will try to check in again on Tuesday next week, and hopefully plan a designing stream for that week as well! :D

Hello again! I come bearing a few ideas I had for our jackalope design based on your suggestions, and also to let you know we are SUPER super close to unlocking Kopi the opossum!! I think it will be good to get started on their sample first since I anticipate it will take me the longest to get looking exactly like I'd like them to. Leo has also been unlocked! Before we start the poll for the 35K goal, I wanted to see if we can nail down a direction for our jackalope design!
Also a note on giving feedback - please make sure you deliver any suggestions kindly! My artwork and design choices are deeply personal to me. This is a collaborative design, and as such, it's impossible for the design to cater to every single backer's specific tastes. If you don't like the finished design we decide on, you don't have to choose it!
The first design is based on the suggestions involving a desert sunset! I also pulled some inspiration from the mid-autumn festival that aligns with the harvest moon. I like the little lines in combo with the stars on the back, as it reminds me of a meteor shower :3
The second design has similar marking placement, but since there are no characters with pink as the main color, I wanted to give something pink a go. I went with sparkles and mushroom spot details on this design to give it a fairy/magical feel. The larger marking placement for both designs draws from jackrabbits as well as deer fawns!
For both designs, I'm not 100% set on the details, but I like the general direction for each of them! Here are each of them next to all the other buddies so far so you can see how they look with your other favorites!

I do have a favorite but I wanted to check and see which direction you all prefer! :D If you have name suggestions for either design, I'd love to hear! Regardless of which design path we choose, I really loved the suggestions you all had - so I think we'll have them sing to help protect dreams, and also I loved the idea that they watch over daydreams too! :D

First of all, I wanted to introduce myself to anyone who hasn't backed a campaign of mine before, and to let you all get to know me a bit better!
My name is Han! I've been running my brand Hannimations since October of 2020! I am the designer, concept artist, production manager, and just about everything else lol. I have several wonderful friends who help me with packing orders, guest art, and customer service, but for the most part, I am a one-person show! Colorful Critters are my line of original characters - each created as guardians of joy that take the form of plushies to provide comfort to those they protect!

I've been creating for as long as I remember. I started out posting fanart for my favorite cartoons, and after posting online for a while, was encouraged by my followers to make some of my artwork into stickers, which lead to the start of my online shop Hannimations in fall of 2020!
In 2021 I created my first two fan plush designs. They were very well received, and creating a toy others could enjoy was deeply fulfilling to me! I launched my first Kickstarter campaign for a line of puppy plushies in 2022, my first series of plush based on original characters I had created. The support for the colorful puppies helped me create my own brand based on my own original characters! I have produced over 50 different plush designs, shipped out over 20,000 orders, and have ran 5 crowdfunding campaigns! Thank you so very much for helping me fulfill my dreams!
About choosing our next goal: there are TWO types of plushies on the poll - the sleepy snuggles 14" plushies, which are the same size and materials as the pictured samples for Leo, Ollie, and Lumi - and the jumbo mochi 24" plushies, which will be much larger and made of mochi fabric and stuffing!! If a mochi plush is chosen and unlocked, I will add new tiers and add-ons! As we unlock other characters sleepy snuggles plush, they'll then be eligible to be in future backer's choice polls as jumbo mochi plush, if that makes sense! If you have any questions, just let me know!!
I'm hoping to have a few designs ready to choose from for our community buddy jackalope tomorrow, so keep an eye out!! :D

Themes can be anything like lunar, solar system, blankets/quilts, or anything nighttime and bedtime related! You can also suggest shapes or patterns you'd like to see included on the design like star shapes, cloud shapes, sparkles, polka-dots, or more! :D

We have Leo, Kopi, and Ollie who have purple as their main color, Lumi and Nova with blue, Juno with cream, and Taija with peach; it would be fun to try and get a nice mix of colors for the bunch so I'll probably lean towards peach, pink, yellow, or cream!
As a reminder, the campaign starts TOMORROW at 10 am PDT (12 pm Central and 1 pm Eastern)! Remember that for a backerkit campaign, you'll only be charged if the funding goal is met, and the charge goes through at the end of the campaign (July 31st!) so pledging as early as you can will both help out the campaign the most and also get you the most rewards!
LUMI will be our first plushie to unlock, based on the last poll!! The connected poll here will decide the second and third goals, and from there we'll go on to vote on the fourth, fifth, and sixth goals; so on and so forth until the campaign ends! Let's see how many buddies we can unlock!! :D
