Project Update: Amazing First Day! First Stretch Goal & Other Projects of Interest

'What an amazing first day!  Thank you very much for your support so far.

First of all, don't forget to vote in our Stretch Goal poll once you back the project.  We truly do want to make the rewards better for everyone, and a great way to do that is to pass any quantity savings we get on to you as more cards, tiles, and other upgrades.  Here is a link to the poll.

And to that point, our first Stretch goal is kinda the easiest: Adding two cards to each of the four decks.  Because of how poker cards are printed, our printer has the process in place to add two cards to the decks. So if/when we hit $16,000, all of our 54 card decks will be 56 cards.  Two cards may not seem like much, but multiply it by four decks and eight cards makes over 1500 words of more ideas and art!

But wait--we have another poll!  A few folks wanted to investigate the possibility of switching the stickers we planned to use for towers, towns, and other points of interest on the mini-maps in favor of vinyl clings.  You can weigh in here.

Other Projects
We're lucky to be working with a number of great collaborators over the years and truly enjoy talking about the other fun projects they are making. And this is Zine month, so we've got a few zines to talk about!

First, the fun project: "It's What My Character Would Do!" If you're an experienced tabletop role play gamer, you've likely experienced a player who has uttered this phrase. This game is about -those- players, the GMs that have to manage them, and the antisocial acts themselves!

Creator Shana Rosenberg has worked with us at our last few cons and really has an approachable, dynamic way of talking with folks at the booth!  This is a fun idea and I regret not joining the alpha playtest.

Now let's go dark! Salt the Earth by designer Quinn Blackwell is survival stripped bare. Every choice leaves a mark, and every Scar tells a story. This isn’t about heroics—it’s about endurance. Survival comes at a cost. Flesh mends wounds. Blood fuels resolve. Salt is fleeting magic—breathed in from the dying or consumed at great risk.

Salt the Earth is a brutal, narrative-driven OSR/NSR inspired TTRPG where survival is carved into flesh and written in blood. With roots in Cairn, Mörk Borg, and Into the Odd, it blends lethal combat, minimalist mechanics, and a world that remembers every scar you leave behind.

Quinn has written for some of our best Sidequest Decks and worked our last two conventions as well.

And we'll stay dark with No Mercy for Monsters: a solo journaling game of familial oaths, dark obsessions, and the toxic bond shared between mortal rivals and is perfect for fans of gothic romances, monstrous tragedies, and dark fantasy horror experiences.

You take on the role of a woodsman, one who has failed the people depending on you and can only see the possibility of your absolution in the death of The Beast—an enemy that your existence has become defined by.

Author Jess Pendley is part of a group of TTRPG pros that I'm a part of too and when I saw this project I had to share it with you. I love solo games and the subject is intriguing!

That's all for now, but we're sure to have more news in the next day or two!
