Project Update: The Spring Update: Merch Photos, Safety Testing, Tariffs, & Cards
Thank you for your patience while I got this update in order.
My manufacturer has stated that the plushes will be complete on June 5th. We are currently arranging for safety testing to get the project going as soon as possible. In the meantime, orders are beginning to be assembled at my home office with the add-ons.
Hurtsies add-on merchandise has been trickling in and we're can't get over how cute everything is so far! Today we want to show off the charms and sticker books!

The Hurtsies sticker books have a lovely hard cover with fullcolor illustration. The silicone release pages inside are double-sided and hold onto stickers great without compromising the adhesive! I’ve been using one myself just to make sure they’re up to snuff, and they get my personal seal of approval, of course.
All of the acrylic charms have arrived, complete with their matching hardwares!
Additionally, the bonus charms are in! The glitter guts heart charm has a really pretty glitter epoxy coating. The connecting teeth charms are super fun as well. You’ll notice I ordered a candy corn-inspired colorway to complement Gruff! 🎃
Charging Cards
We will begin charging cards for remaining payments & shipping one month before fulfillment will begin. Once we have a more solidified date of when the plushes reach port, we will post a firm deadline. We will give two weeks notice before charging cards. Depending on whether we ship via sea freight or air, the shipping may take about 3-4 weeks.
When we begin to charge cards, you will also be given ample notice to update your address or other needs.

Retaliatory Tariffs
We've been monitoring the situation regarding retaliatory tariffs very closely. As of right now we are not sure how tariffs will impact the Hurtsies campaign because it continues to be an evolving situation.
Because the Hurtsies are a product made in China, they would be subjected to a minimum of 125% tariff. We are hoping that this trade war will resolve itself by late June when the plushes arrive, but for now, it is a waiting game. As of today, there is talk of reducing Chinese tariffs this weekend. We’re holding out hope that this issue resolves, but for now we are keeping a close eye on the news.

One Last Announcement
I want to again apologize for the delays in this project! For many months now, I have been dealing with an international case regarding this project and… truth be told, it’s messy.
I apologize if it seems I’ve been withholding information, but I have been unable to disclose much because of ongoing investigations. I fear that I still have not fully resolved the situation, but I can say with certainty that this project will be fulfilled come summer.
Essentially, after Christmas of last year, my manufacturer’s email was hacked without their knowledge. An unknown person downloaded our entire conversation log spanning back years, including the commercial invoice for the Hurtsies project. This hacker then edited the invoice with false wire instructions without my manufacturer’s knowing.
When I sent the payment, it was deposited into another company’s account. This company claims that it was one of their own clients who hacked the email to send the money, and has been giving me the runaround in regards to whether they would return the funds or not. As of today, they have still not returned the funds.
The only solace I have is that only 50% of the funds were sent in the initial transfer. Now rest assured, the plushes and samples have been in progress all this time. However, my manufacturer’s attempts at communication and resolving this issue have undoubtedly caused delays.
Again, there is no need for you as the customer to be concerned. Your plushies will arrive this summer regardless, but i can only hope this will provide some context and understanding to those who have been wondering.
I have some photos of the official plushes and will be editing and sharing those in another update, along with their safety testing results.
