We'll be locking surveys at 5pm ET on Friday, December 5 to make sure we have time to get everything out the door before the holidays. Make sure you fill yours out as soon as possible!
There's just one issue that has caused a bit of confusion, so we wanted to jump in with a quick update to clear everything up.
The Free Shipping Thing
Free Shipping is not applied automatically when you fill out your survey in Pledge Manager. That means that you will see a shipping fee when you complete your survey, even if your pledge meets the Free Shipping threshold for your country (you can find the Free Shipping rules on our project page).
We're here to tell you not to worry.
We have to go through and apply Free Shipping manually. If your order meets the requirements, it will get caught when we do our pass this weekend and Free Shipping will be applied to your order before we start running cards. If you upgraded to a higher pledge tier, your order (and your Free Shipping) will get included in that pass.
In other words, the shipping fee you see with your order may not be final. Every order gets one by default. The only shipping fee that matters is the one that's there when cards are getting charged. We'll be sharing another update when we reach that point, so check in then to make sure you're being charged the proper rate. We can update everything manually if there are any errors.
Why is my shipping fee so high?
If your shipping fee seems unusually high, it probably means you haven't completed your survey. The Pledge Manager will default to the highest possible shipping fee for your region if it doesn't know your exact address. That fee should drop to something more typical once you complete your survey with the proper order and shipping information.
Thanks in advance for your patience as we sort everything out. We will ensure that everyone pays the right amount for shipping, and will always work with our customers to sort out any issues and answer any questions!
