Project Update: 🪺Update #11: Pre-Production Copies and Printing Starting Soon!
Hey Feather Fanatics,
As the first cool breezes of fall start to roll in, we’re entering an exciting new season—not just outside, but for the Birds project too! This month, we're thrilled to share a big step forward in production, what Pre-Production Copies (PPCs) mean for your games, and what’s next on the horizon.
Files Finalized – Production Begins!
We’re happy to announce that all files for the Bird Games have been proofed and finalized by our manufacturing partner. This is a major milestone—it means the bulk of the work is now in the hands of our trusted production team, and we’re officially moving into the next phase.
What Are PPCs and Why Are They Important?
Now that everything is ready, the next step is creating Pre-Production Copies (PPCs) of each item. These are complete, physical versions of each game—essentially the final product, just one copy. PPCs give us one last chance to inspect every detail: component quality, color accuracy, printing alignment, rulebook clarity, and more. It’s a crucial part of making sure everything is absolutely perfect before full production begins.
Once we receive and review the PPCs, we’ll share photos so you can see the final games up close. If everything checks out, we’ll give the green light—and full-scale printing will begin shortly after.
Address Locking – Action Needed!
As we move into the manufacturing and fulfillment phases, we’ll be locking all shipping addresses the first week of October. This is a crucial step that helps us begin planning for freight and logistics, including how and where to ship all the games once production is complete.
Please take a moment this month to review your shipping address on BackerKit and make any necessary updates.
✅ If your address is already correct, you don’t need to do anything!
📦 If you're planning to move, please update it before the deadline.

A Quick Note on Updates
As we enter this stage, monthly updates may get a bit shorter for a while. That’s because large-scale manufacturing takes time, and there are fewer visible changes until the games are printed, packaged, and on their way to fulfillment.
But rest assured—we’re still here, checking comments, answering questions, and keeping a close eye on every step. And while the Bird Games are in production, we’re also hard at work finalizing development for Wild Gardens and continuing progress on our next big adventure, Gone to Gaia.
Thank you again for your continued support, encouragement, and patience. This is a huge step closer to the finish line, and we can’t wait to get these beautiful games into your hands soon!
