PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: The books are here!
Hey Everybeast,
A quick but exciting update - the books have arrived!
I'll attach plenty of photos below. In general, the next steps I'll be taking this week are to get custom packing supplies to send stock over to the USA. Once the books land in the USA (and any potential tariffs are applied), I'll be able to confirm shipping prices for everyone and begin fulfilment. If everything runs smoothly, I'll be starting fulfilment of pledge rewards in early June.
Charging Shipping
As a reminder, shipping fees haven't been charged yet. I'm still waiting to confirm those. More news on this, likely in the next fortnight.
UK Games Expo
I'll be stocking a very small number of copies with my friend Eryk from Peregrine Coast Press at UKGE, which runs May 30th - June 1st. UKGE is the UK's largest board and tabletop game convention, and a chance small publishers like myself can't pass up, especially to get my books into the hands of people outside of the Scottish TTRPG scene. I'm not good at social media, and I can't afford online ads, so Eryk's presence at UKGE is pretty invaluable to me. This does mean there'll be about 15 copies of Scurry running about a little earlier than expected - I wanted to be transparent about this.
It's not feasible to do reward pickups at UKGE as I won't be there in person this year. If you do see the books on Eryk's stand, don't fret about buying them a second time. Your pledges rewards will be with you in no time! Do feel free to ooh and aah, and give 'em a flick through! Eryk will also have lots of other indie heroes in stock, including some otherwise hard-to-get USA imports!
MCM London
Similarly, VER's payment for designing the extra Sword Wolf Patches for the campaign was to get some free stock to sell themselves. They'll be tabling at MCM London this weekend, and are planning to bring a small amount of patches with them. If you do see them, pop in and say hi - there've got lots of gorgeous prints and a selection of stunning graphic novellas. Like the UKGE stock, there'll be a few wild wolves wiling about early, but only in a very limited capacity.
Forget that boring stuff, show me the goods!

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Backer Surveys incoming!
Hey there, crafty critters!
I’m ready to send out the backer surveys! I’ll be doing a short smoke test to about 5% of youse, and if that doesn’t flag up any major bugs the rest should go out shortly! I'm not going to be opening a pre-order store, for this campaign.
Printing in Progress
Over the last month I’ve finished pre-press on the book, and it is now in production with StandArt Impressa - the expected arrival time is late May. The patches are ordered, as are the zines and bookplates. The A5 prints are also on their way!
Shipping
After a lot of research and back-and-forth investigation into shipping and tariffs and a whole other bird's nest of concerns, I've chatted with BackerKit and decided the best way forward is to send surveys now and collect shipping fees at a later date.
This means I'll collect your address information and any add-ons you want to make now, and then add shipping later with the chance for a second confirmation before charging cards. Once Scurry stock arrives in the USA, I'll be able to confirm shipping prices and start collecting fees; I'll give a 1-2 week window to review final shipping fees before I go to collect.
Royal Mail recently increased their prices for the next tax year, so shipping will likely be a little more (£1-2) more expensive than estimated in the original crowdfunding campaign.
Additionally for USA backers, I won't know if my books will be hit with tariffs until they've arrived in the USA. I don't expect that they will, but if they are, these tariffs will be added to your shipping fees, for an expected £2-4 increase.

Digital Fulfilment
The digital files for Scurry 3E are ready to go. After physical fulfilment is complete, I’ll send a download key for folks to claim a copy on itch.io, which also allows you to receive updates in the future!
That’s all for now,
-Brian

Project Update: Mini-update: Backer survey is being drafted
Heya, quick check in!
📚 I'm prepping sending print files for Standart Impressa to review for next Monday. The initial print deliver is slated for early May, and then there's shipping time. UK, Europe and International fulfilment could begin mid-May, and USA fulfilment from mid-May to early June.
📜 I'm still working on getting the backer surveys put together. Should have those assembled in the next week or so.
🦅 For USA backers, Trump's tariff news is concerning. I have no news on how it affects orders, but I can assure you I'll investigate different options to give the cheapest possible shipping. Who knows, maybe in a month this will have blown over entirely.

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Funded! Now, how do we split the loot?
We did it!
Scurry has reached it's goal, and now it's on to the next leg of this heist:
I'll be setting up the reward surveys over the next few days, so that I can collect addresses and prepare for fulfilment in the next couple of months. I'm also liaising with Standart Impressa about the print run and getting final details ironed out.
As an extra hurrah - we funded a stretch goal:
All physical pledges will now be receiving VER's beautifully designed woven patch. For anyone feeling the FOMO - you'll be able to grab spare stock from VER's wonderful store this summer, after fulfilment is complete :)
Here's to more heists in the near future!
