A Twist of Fate - Part 1: The Wizard’s Last Breath The air in the ancient tower crackles with fading magic. Old scrolls flutter, books tilt precariously, and somewhere a rat scurries through forgotten relics. At the center, a hunched, silver-bearded wizard, Ardinor the Unreliable, leans heavily against his staff. His eyes, dimming with age and exhaustion, fix on the glowing icosahedron—the Fate Finder. With a strained groan, he holds out the artifact to the motley group before him, each character standing in stark contrast to one another. "One of you… must take it. Seek the God of Fortune… return this… before the world… spins too far into chaos…" Ardinor gasps. He has a flair for the dramatic. You know, classic wizard stuff. The wizard coughs, clearly stalling for a bit more time. "But choose wisely. Who among you is worthy?" The group exchanges looks, a decision looming. The wizard's voice fades, his body crumpling to the floor as dramatically as possible. It’s up to you to decide who takes the Fate Finder. Option: Roll a d20 to select your answer.
1-4: Elowen, the Druid: Elowen believes all things happen for a reason but tends to overthink even the simplest of decisions—whether it's saving the world or picking berries for tea.

5-8: Lyra, the Sorceress: Lyra enjoys incinerating her problems—literally. She once solved a library feud by setting the entire library on fire. In her defense, it was mostly accidental.

9-12: Fenn, the Thief: Fenn has an irritating habit of flipping a coin before every choice, which makes him either the perfect candidate for this mission—or the worst.

13-16: Sir Galvar, the Knight: He believes in honor above all, even when honor leads him into absurdly avoidable traps. He is prone to dramatically charging into situations that require no charging.

17-20: Thistle, the Bard: Light on his feet, lighter on responsibility, he prefers to sing about other's bravery rather than have any. Handy with a lute and at disappearing when things get dangerous.
