Talisor’s glowing eyes narrow, but a faint smile tugs at the corners of his lips. “Clever. Very well, mortal. I'll grant you my favor. Luck will follow you in ways no other mortal can claim. But beware—luck is fickle, and even my favor may lead you to unexpected places.”
“Sounds about right,” Fenn says, tossing the Fate Finder toward Talisor. The moment he catches it, the writhing thread of light calms, solidifying into a steady beam that weaves itself back into the cosmic tapestry above. The room stabilizes, its kaleidoscopic colors fading into a soft golden glow.
Talisor straightens, his power restored. “The balance is maintained, for now. You’ve made your choice, and the consequences will follow you always.”
With a wave of his hand, Talisor opens a portal behind Fenn, a shimmering doorway back to the mortal realm. “Go, and carry my favor well. Your path is yours to walk—just remember, even the luckiest can stumble.”
Fenn gives Talisor a nod and steps through the portal, back into the familiar chaos of his world. As the portal closes behind him, he feels a subtle shift in the air—a sense that, for better or worse, his luck has truly changed.

Wood or Marble?
We printed the same box for both designs, One side shows a picture of the Wood Fate Finder and the reverse side shows a picture of the Marble Fate Finder. If you need to discern which one is in your box without opening it, look to the Barcode. It looks like this:
Shipping Notices and Tracking Numbers
Within the US: Orders will have tracking numbers when they are close to being shipped. If you are in the US, your tracking number is also located in your BackerKit survey. Lost your survey?. If it isn't there, your label hasn't been generated yet.
Outside the US: We are fulfilling with GamesQuest who has a blog and status site you cann check. They willsend out tracking info to you when your package has shipped. It won't be on BackerKit. Look out for emails and check your junk/spam folders if you are not in the US.
Missing & Damaged Items?
Sometimes there are mistakes - by us, and sometimes mail carriers play soccer with your packages. If you have missing or damaged items:
US - Send an email to [email protected] describing the issue and include pictures. We will work on getting replacements after the first wave of shipments get sent out.
It can happen this time of year and it sucks. We all hate porch pirates. Here is what you need to know. If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered but you can't find it, USPS offers this advice:
Carrier may have placed it in a safer location, please check:
Mailbox
Porch
Garage
Any area out of potential weather hazards
Exterior doors and any locations where the package could be placed
Check your mailbox again as some packages come separately from your regular mail.
Check with others in your house that may have accepted it.
In rare cases, package may show as 'delivered' but could take additional 24 hours. If it has been over 24 hours from the 'delivered' status, to save time a service request may be sent by email to your local Post Office™ facility for follow-up. You will receive a confirmation number and a contact within 2-3 business days.
We will need to follow up with USPS regarding any missing packages. Once they confirm it is lost, then we can send a replacement. See their site: https://www.usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm
The basic process is:
Check with your local carrier first. They are surprisingly helpful.
Once the claim is filed, we can send a replacement.
We won't be able to follow up until shipping is done, so please reach out to your local carriers first and file those claims.
Mail Returned to Us
This can happen if delivery fails or the address was wrong, or the mail carrier doesn't have enough coffee and holiday cookies. If we get an item back, we will reach out to you and ask about correcting the shipping info. We will attempt another delivery once before we ask that pay for further delivery attempts.

📣Last call for order updates! 🛒Charging Cards 💳and Locking Addresses! 📦
Emails went out yesterday to let you know we are locking orders. You have until December 3rd at 3:00 AMMST to make changes.
After this, we will lock your reward selections and charge cards for add-on item purchases, pledge upgrades, and pre-orders. Please make sure that you have the correct card information on file. If any issues arise with your payment you’ll receive an email letting you know to correct your payment information.
You can update your shipping address up until we lock addresses for shipping on Dec 5th. You will get a 48 hour email notice for this as well.
If you fill out your BackerKit survey or pay for extra shipping after the Dec 5th, we’ll still receive your information, but your shipment may be delayed.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://fate-finder.backerkit.com/

🏬Local Pickup🏬
If you plan to attend our local pickup event in Colorado Springs, you will need to select your country as Local Pickup at the beginning of the survey. The event will be in December at Petrie's Family Games. We will send out more details in the coming weeks. If you can't make it, we can leave your rewards there for pickup on your own time.

Since our timeline puts us close to the holidays, we have decided to offer gift wrapping within the US. If you plan to send a Fate Finder as a gift, consider providing the receiver's address instead and adding the gift wrap option.

According to BackerKit, late pledges have helped us reach the One-Shot Adventure Goal. So we will get working on that so you have a fun way to introduce and use the Fate Finder in your gaming parties.

📖A Twist of Fate - Part 6📖
Fenn chooses to answer "A Time" to the riddle. This was an interesting riddle as each answer was possible but clues would lead you to use elimination. A memory can't change in a flash. A Time is not found within. A Dream is not with you in every waking moment. The last answer, A Thought, was correct. But lets see if Fenn can still get into the Hall of Luck. We were very close to the One Shot Adventure ⚔️. We will keep the funding going in the pre-order store. If we reach that goal, we are going to write up a short adventure to introduce your D&D party to the power of the Fate Finder.
What to Expect Next?
First, BackerKit is going to charge your card for your pledges and transfer the funds. This can take up to 2 weeks.
Second, after funds are collected, we will send out pledge manager surveys (about Nov 14th). This is your chance to add additional rewards and provide shipping address and funds. It will be very important that you complete these on time to get rewards sent out quickly. We’ll give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it.
Third, we will charge credit cards and lock addresses (about Dec 1st.)
Finally, we will begin to ship out rewards. (about Dec 10th).

You've decided that Fenn will try to solve the riddle to enter the Hall of Luck. Let's see if he can summon his greatest wits, probably not his best trait, to make it inside. The campaign may be over today, but we will continue the story to its end with future updates.
