Project Update: JANUARY UPDATE: Addresses Locked

Happy New Year! I hope your 2025 is full of incredible Werewolf in the Dark (WitD) games and you make incredible memories while playing with friends.

TLDR:
  • We are approaching fulfillment, so you mailing addresses are being locked.
  • As soon as we get specific delivery dates, we will share them.
  • MOTHERSHIP RPG companion app videos available.
  • Last weekend's WitD session report.

ADDRESS ARE BEING LOCKED.
If you haven't already, you should have received an email from Backerkit asking to make sure your address is accurate. At the time of this update, you should have about 24 hours to change your address. After that, changing your address may result in you getting your copy of WitD a bit later than everyone else.

Locking addresses is great news! It means we are getting very close to fulfillment. Once everyone has locked their address, we will have a more accurate delivery date for everyone. My hope is to share a very accurate fulfillment dates by the end of this week or next. As of right now, we are still on schedule to fulfill this quarter.

MOTHERSHIP RPG COMPANION APP TUTORIALS!
This segment is for any of you MOTHERSHIP RPG fans. If you didn't already know, there is a free companion app for Mothership. This app provides you with all the tools you need to quickly create and play characters. You'll never have to remember to bring dice or a character sheet to a game again. There is also content you can pay for which allows you to run a virtual table top and create maps!

Here is a tutorial video for how to run a Virtual Table Top session using the app:

WEREWOLF IN THE DARK SESSION REPORT
This past Saturday, I played about 6 hours worth of WitD with about 20 people. The best part was where we played. My friend, Kevin Jones, owns Lockology Escape Rooms in Columbus, Ohio and he is a big fan of WitD. So invited all of us to play in his entire escape room facility!

Imagine hiding in a pitch black Egyptian temple room. Picture yourself crouching in the dark under a giant Mayan sacrificial skull, or sneaking around steampunk themed machinery. Well, all 20 players did exactly that as we screamed, laughed, and loved hunting and hiding from one another. We played enough games that we played almost every character available in both the Werewolf Pack and the Monster Box.

Here are some highlights:
- The Blob made an appearance, growing as it absorbed more and more hiding players. Eventually, the Blob grew to over a dozen players all holding hands, all stumbling around in the dark trying to find more players to join the chain of human murder. The ghosts, armed with their candles, lit and led the blob towards more victims.  Eventually, the Blob oozed its way into the old west haunted jail themed room where a single player hid in the corner. With only one way in and only one way out of the room, the last survivor screamed as he knew his future was only that of becoming one with the Blob.

- The Imposter killed the Woodsmith almost immediately during the first night. The Imposter has the ability to ask their victims who they were when alive. Within the first minute of the round, the Imposter loudly shouted, "I'm the Woodsmith and need to be alone so I can knock! Please leave me alone!" Because the Imposter was acting the part of the Woodsmith so early, nobody every suspected him. Almost needless to say, the Imposter won that game.

- A round ends after a dead body is found, touched, and asked, "Are you dead?" If the dead player affirms, then the living player may shout, "BODY FOUND!" instantly ending the round and causing the lights to turn on. Well, at one point, we heard from the other side of the facility, "BODY F..." Many of us were initially confused and asked, "Did someone find a body?" only to be answered with silence. It quickly became clear that one player was killed before they were able to finish verifying a dead body. Terrifying.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I sincerely hope you all have as much fun playing the game as we did. This is why I can't wait until you get this game in your hands! As always, please share any comments, questions, or your own session reports.
