Project Update: Information for 'Pig from Hell' Kickstarter Backers.

Today I am very excited to announce that we, Word Forge Games, have join the team to make ‘Heroes of the Pacific’ happen.

We will be working with the designers, you know as Clem, Yann and Jules, to produce ‘Heroes of the Pacific’ and we hope quickly.

It is very important you understand that we received none of the money you pledged and so we are doing this on a very limited budget, which is money we have chosen to invest. The game we will make will be 'Heroes of the Pacific’, but not necessarily in the form you were presented on this KS.

We are setting up a page on Backerkit, check it out here. From this we will explain our plan and confirm what information we need from you.

We are sure you have lots of questions, concerns and that some may be very angry at what happened on this campaign, but we ask you to have patience, be civil. Here is our website: wordforgegames.com or check us out on Board Game Geek.

Over the coming days, weeks and months things will become clearer, bare with us as we formulate and instigate a plan to make Heroes of the Pacific happen.

Who are Word Forge Games?
Word Forge Games is a dynamic, well established game manufacturer and publisher run by Mark Rapson out of the UK. They exploded onto the scene in 2015 with their first game: Devil's Run. Since then, they have launched a plethora of games including the award winning D-Day Dice, SAS Rogue Regiment, Airborne in Your Pocket, and Pocket Landship.

In recent years, they have carved themselves a niche with solo play war themed games.
What makes them such a great fit for the ‘Heroes’ range and specifically 'Heroes of the Pacific’, is that they have rescued failed Kickstarters before. Approximately five years ago they completed ‘Airborne in your Pocket’ for nearly 1000 backers (who had been waiting 8 years), and in the process also rescued the D-Day Dice franchise. More recently they rescued the company Nightfall Games and its long running RPG franchise: SLA Industries.

Since then, D-Day Dice and SLA have gone from strength to strength and the teams behind them continue to work closely with Word Forge.
