Hey folks

Happy new year! Just a quick update to say that by and large, everything is finished on this campaign.

There's two people yet to complete their survey - the closest I've ever got to 100% completion, and if you're reading this folks, you'd make my particular personality quirks very happy if you filled yours out!

There was one wrinkle with fulfilment which was that we unexpectedly ran out of Lovecraftesque expansions in our main UK warehouse, and had to send some over from Black Armada HQ. That happened a while ago now, but the wheels turned rather slowly in December, and some of these orders are still in transit. That will affect most people outside the US who had Lovecraftesque expansions in their order. To those people: if you haven't yet got yours, you will soon, and apologies for the wait.

There's one other person not covered by the above whose order is yet to ship - that person has been in email conversation with me, so if it's you, you already know about it!

Except where noted above, orders have now been in flight for a while, so if you haven't received them yet, you should see them soon.

One final thing to mention is that we're currently operating three storage locations in the UK, with different products in each one (in essence, the zines are in one place, the books are in another, and Lovecraftesque is in a third place). This means if you're outside the US and ordered add-ons, you might well be getting multiple shipments from the different warehouses. So, if you've only received part of your order, feel free to leave a comment checking, but most likely the explanation is that you'll be getting another shipment with the rest.

Hey folks

Just a quick update to say that it turns out launching our pledge manager is a two-stage approval, where we'd expected only one, and this means surveys probably won't go out until late today or early tomorrow (UK time). Apologies.

We already have "pre approval" from Backerkit and we thought that meant we could send surveys out right away. But, it turns out we need a second approval. And, because Backerkit are on US West Coast time, we have to wait for them to arrive at their desks before this can be taken forward. If approval goes through without any issues, then we should be able to hit "send" on those surveys later today. If not, we might find ourselves resolving any issues this afternoon, with approval potentially happening overnight instead.

Nothing else has changed - as before, I'll do an update when the surveys are out, and will send batches of orders to our warehouses daily as the surveys are completed.

On the upside this has given me the chance to sort out our digital downloads, so those should be available a bit faster - I hesitate to promise "immediately" but that's what I'm expecting.

Hey folks

Another quick update to say, the PDF versions of all the games you've ordered should automatically go out to you when you complete your survey. Those will come from Backerkit, and you'll be directed to a page where you can download the games.

For Lovecraftesque and its expansions, there is also a Roll20 version of the game, which is included if you bought the print version of the game. This has to be processed manually, so there will be a delay while I collate survey responses and get the Roll20 versions sent out. You'll get an email from DrivethruRPG with a link to access those. I'll wait until there's a critical mass of responses before doing that - likely late this week or early next.

I've just sent out the backer surveys. Please complete them promptly as I can't send out your order until they are done.

For anybody who is new to this, here's what to expect:

There's a small number of people in EU states who will see a weird extra charge. This only applies to member states where there is a reduced VAT rate for books, and then only to backers who bought Lovecraftesque or its expansions - if that's not you, you can ignore this. I've emailed you to explain but I'm going to repeat it here to minimise the risk of confusion. The reason is that Backerkit can't handle two different tax rates, and since most of our products are books, we set the VAT rate to the book rate. We then had to manually add an extra charge for these items, to reflect the higher rate of VAT. This will appear as a negative number under "complimentary credit" (which is weird, but is the only way to do this on Backerkit). Apologies if this causes any confusion. We have let Backerkit know this needs fixing!

...and that's it! I will be collating all the completed surveys into batches and sending them to our warehouses for fulfilment on a daily basis. I'll do another update in a week or so, to confirm everything has been running smoothly.
