To create a sense of awe and wonder in my story world, I’m always pushing to blur the lines between fantasy and reality. To do this, I create story artifacts to go along with my books. Story artifacts are items that have been pulled from my story world and recreated for readers to explore and get lost in the enjoyment of an endless story world. During Theo’s stay in Hallador, he collects items, memories and collectibles that that he places in his sketchbook journal to always remind him of his experiences in the great city. 

 

Transit Map – Theo dives in and embraces the many advantages of dragon flight for transportation throughout the city. This story artifact gives readers an insight into the complex and fascinating world of dragon flight in the city of Hallador

Multi Pass – Theo purchases a pass giving him access to multiple forms of transportation throughout the city. He decided to keep it in his sketchbook as a souvenir 

Favorite Quote Bookmark – One of his art teachers made a significant impact on his time in Hallador. He created a book mark as a reminder of the lesson learned. 

Elanor’s Card – His friendship and relationship with Elanor evolves during his time in Hallador. He kept one special card that meant a lot to him.  

3 story artifacts TO BE DETERMINED – I want to hear from the fans and backers of The Dragon Story. What places in the city do you want to learn more about? Did Theo make it to the Dragon Flight games, and he kept the program? Did he take a tour of the dragon hatchery, and collected an informative pamphlet? Did he make friends with someone hoping to join the dragon rider’s guild? From zoos to art museums to the history of the city, what is it you want Theo to experience, and bring back to you?
