I’m creating this special bundle to give an opportunity to fans that may be in a position to support the project in a big way, and a way for me to show my appreciation for such a contribution. I want to create a world that everyone feels a part of, and I want to know what dragons or people you want to see in the world of The Dragon Story. This piece of art will be included in the book, as well as a signed 11X14 Fine art print. This art print will only be given to buyers of this art, and will not be available for purchase making it a one of a kind. 

 

The Commission piece does come with a couple of rules. The piece needs to exist in the world of The Dragon Story, and adhere to the story rules of the story. For example, in the modern era, dragons do not breathe fire, so a blacksmith dragon using fire to melt metals doesn’t fit into my world. To be featured in the art book, it needs to be something that Theo can witness while traveling through the city of Hallador. For example, in the modern era of my story world, the public does not believe magic exists. So even if magical dragons exist in my world, they are not roaming the streets of Hallador. Those are reserved for my deep lore stories. Also keep in mind dragons and humans live in harmony. Please do not request a dragon fighting or eating a human, because in the world of Hallador, killing a human or a dragon would be considered murder. Also keep in mind the dragons in my world are the size of medium sized big cats to the size of horses or elephants. 

 

Examples of Commissions 

With that said, here are some suggestions. Sure, dragons and humans are not at war or in a death battle, but there are plenty of warrior humans and dragons. Maybe they are sparring in a combat class? What sort of jobs do you want to see dragons and humans doing? Have you always dreamed of being a dragon rider? I can draw a portrait of you as a dragon rider. Or do you just wish you were a dragon? Well, I have a home for you in Hallador. Tell me what type of dragon, and what features would represent you, and my art can bring it to life. But what if you love eastern dragons? Well, technically my world is very large. Though very uncommon in Hallador, it is possible. So please let me know what you want to see, and I can explore ideas of how it may end up in Theo’s sketchbook. 

 

The Future 

This concept is just the beginning of an overly ambitious idea of creating a community where all users and readers are a part of this world. I don’t know what that looks like yet, I’m still figuring it out. But the only way to get there is to jump in.
