- Our first two stretch goal designs have unlocked; the whooping crane and hoopoe are now available as choices! We're super close to unlocking the kookaburra, and then our first necklace, the flying blue jay!

The campaign runs until June 5th; if you happen to run a newsletter, mailing list, do any livestreams/events, or are part of any social groups and wouldn't mind helping spread the word we would greatly appreciate it! You might have noticed the change this year from Kickstarter to Backerkit as a platform - one big difference from the visible side is that Kickstarter includes shipping costs in the 'funds raised'/total amount, which Backerkit does not. This pads the numbers for Kickstarter campaigns to look significantly bigger than they are, for us it accounts for over 20% of overall funding. That makes each funding benchmark even more significant on our end, and offers a better idea of actual funding, but is likely to show as if things here are a bit 'slower' than on the previous platform.
One really nice difference is the 'Community' tab you can check in on when you look at the project page; there you can see the progress towards stretch goals and we'll be hosting a few fun things like a photo contest (for birds of course!) where you'll be able to vote for winners using the polls and an upcoming livestream event.
