Project Update: Our 3rd Worldographer 2025 New Features Poll

Thanks again for supporting/showing interest in our Worldographer 2025 project!

We've got another new poll (it may be in a "backers only" section of this post, so if you've backed this project you should see it below) for what features you'd like to see added to Worldographer.  As before, I've done my best to scour comments for feature suggestions and added them to the new poll. (Although I like many things about BackerKit better than Kickstarter's admin interface, finding comments is not one of them.) We'll keep this poll active through Wednesday the 25th at 8pm US eastern time.

Anyway, the winner for the last poll was: Have a way to control the opacity of map layers.  Because the scope of that was small-ish, it is nearly ready and we'll have a release of that later this week.  But you can see it in action in this Youtube video! The runners-up were: more data export options (json, csv, etc); and a color picker that lets you choose a color by clicking on the map.

Speaking of Youtube videos, we've made a bunch since the start of this crowdfunding. Because of Youtube's algorithms, a simple way to help the project is to watch them (even just bits), like them, and/or subscribe.  Most of these videos have been made in the past two weeks.  I was doing well making them daily until last week when there were a few life issues--the most serious is my father-in-law who lives with us had to go to the hospital's ICU.  He's now stable, but we've been told to be ready to accept a "new normal" for him.

For anyone following the project but hasn't backed it yet, please do give the demo a try and back it if it seems it will fit your needs--especially if you see the potential as we add a few more features and iron out the kinks.  Plus you'll get to vote in our remaining polls.
