100 new monsters. 300 new boons and charms.
Absorb the abilities of monsters using harvested components to conduct magical rituals and enchant yourself with boons and charms representing the monsters' unique abilities. Compatible with 5e 2014 and 2024.
What better way to celebrate a victory against a dangerous creature than to take its power for yourself?
Tome of Intangible Treasures II expands your options for 5e-compatible story-based rewards with:
Ritual and Harvesting systems that allow players to absorb the abilities of fallen enemies
100 fully fleshed out monsters complete with stat blocks, art, lore, adventure hooks, and tactics
300 new boons and charms that can be bestowed using materials harvested from slain creatures
Hunt a fey beast like the prismatic jewelbird and imprint its power onto yourself, gaining a magical boon that allows you to replicate its Prismatic Aura, or slay the implacable executioner devil and steal its deadly Executioner's Cut - rendering you capable of separating soul from flesh.
Use the new Rituals system provided in the book to track your progress and guide your enchantments as you prepare your rites, or get gritty with ritual recipes made compatible with Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting.
Whether you're looking for new monsters for your players to fight or new adventures for them to go on, Tome of Intangible Treasures II is sure to have what you're looking for.
Tome of Intangible Treasures, the first book in a growing series, greatly expanded the number of available boons and charms for 5e beyond those presented in the 2014 Dungeon Master's Guide, adding hundreds of options for magic item alternatives from minor enhancements to legendary abilities. That book focused on boons as adventure rewards granted to characters by entities of power, from the lowliest fey to the highest of fiends.
In Tome of Intangible Treasures II, boons and charms are expanded again; this time with an understanding that not only can power be earned, but it can also be taken for oneself.
Brine Witch, by Todd Ulrich
The boons and charms found in this book represent abilities taken from new monsters introduced in its pages, from the lethal Executioner Devil to the wondrous Prismatic Jewelbird. Each monster is given a set of plot hooks to help you introduce them into your game, whether as the target of a hunt or a source of trouble for a local region, as well as a description of their tactics that help you to run them in combat with little prep, and flavorful mechanics that make describing their actions simple and fun.
And, of course, for adventurers who prefer less violent methods, you can still always use the boons and charms in this book as rewards for helping out the creatures that grant them instead! If you really want the Coruscating Roar of a Glorious Prideking but don't want to kill such a magnificent creature, you can always try to befriend one instead.
Tome of Intangible Treasures II provides a new take on "crafting" through its Rituals system. You can see the current draft of the system in the preview PDF, but in essence it takes the form of an extended skill challenge. The primary caster (who doesn't have to be a spellcaster necessarily) takes time to prepare the ritual over several days, making a Progress Check each day that they work on preparing the ritual. Once they acquire enough Progress (succeed enough checks), then they'll be able to attempt the ritual itself.
Horned Obyawara, by Gibbs Santos
When the ritual is ready, the caster spends an hour conducting it according to their plan and with the materials they've gathered - including any requisite harvested monster component - and makes their final Ritual check. If successful, they get what they planned. If they fail, they may have the option of trying again with some additional preparation, or it's possible that something goes wrong and the ritual completes with some unintended consequences!

But ritual casters also don't have to do this alone, they can call on their allies for aid. During the preparation stage and during the final ritual, allies of the caster can make ability checks to assist the caster, granting them a bonus on their own check and potentially enabling them to complete tasks faster or better.
Portions of the book are already complete, but in order to be published it needs funding for additional writers, artists, editing, layout, playtesting, and printing costs. As funding expands beyond the original goal, additional content will be added and additional goals will be revealed!
Funding Stretch Goals
Backer-Based Stretch Goals - Minis!
In addition to the funding-based stretch goals, I also have backer-based goals to expand the miniatures selection for the book! We've already unlocked the first stretch goal, bringing the total to 6!
Add a 6th mini to the STL and Resin mini bundles!
When we reach 40 backers with miniature bundle (STL or Resin) as an add-on or part of their pledge tier, we'll unlock a 7th figure for the miniature bundles!
Add a 7th mini to the STL and Resin mini bundles!
When we reach 60 backers with miniature bundle (STL or Resin) as an add-on or part of their pledge tier, we'll unlock a 8th figure for the miniature bundles!
Add a 8th mini to the STL and Resin mini bundles!
With each backer-based stretch goal met, another will be revealed. How many new minis can we unlock?
Choose from a number of add-ons from VTT modules, minis, dice, or a box set of reference cards to previous 5e products from Lone Colossus Games! Mix and match with the offered tiers to make your ideal pledge.
Note that the STL and Resin mini bundle pricing is a campaign exclusive, and will likely increase afterward based on how many miniatures we unlock during the campaign!
Tome of Intangible Treasures II includes miniatures as an add-on option! The campaign launches with 5 miniatures (mostly Large size) in both the STL and Resin mini bundle add-ons. Over the course of the campaign, we'll unlock additional minis and increase the value of each bundle! The exact monsters we unlock will be determined after the campaign is over, with some input from backers. Most minis will probably be in the Large size category, although if there's enough interest in having a couple of Medium figures there might be some extra room to do a Huge size figure as well!
Starting Minis
The miniature bundles begin with models for the Brightwing Alicorn, Brine Witch, Executioner Devil, False Knight, and Prismatic Jewelbird. These minis represent a variety of CRs from 6 to 17, and entity types (one each of Aberrant, Celestial, Fey, Primal, and Unholy).

Because the SRD for 5e 2024 has yet to be released, the preview PDF of the book is written with compatibility for 5e 2014. However, the relative balance of boons and charms has not changed between the two editions, and monster balance and design in 2024 looks to be similar to (or at least more in line with) the apparent goals of 2014's game balance, with lower level monsters seeing very little change in difficulty at the same CR, and higher level monsters being perhaps equivalent to a monster of 1-2 CRs above the 2014 CR balance. The biggest difference in monster design is the way the rules are represented, with 2024's stat blocks generally being clearer and easier to read. The final format will be voted on by backers, as I would prefer to make a book that will most directly helps those who make it happen. Either way, the book will be readily usable with all editions of 5e, and any guidance needed for "conversion" one way or the other will be provided for whichever edition isn't natively used in the book.
Heliana's Compatibility
In addition to the Rituals system introduced in the book, the recipes for each boon and charm will also be made compatible with the crafting and harvesting systems found in Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting, allowing you to use your preferred method of crafting for your game.

I won't be charging for shipping and handling (and VAT) until just before the products are ready to ship. I will collect this via the pledge manager.
Unfortunately, I can't deliver to Russia or Ukraine
Shipping prices are always on the rise and the estimates above assume some increase from current rates. If lower prices are available when it comes time to charge for shipping, you'll benefit from those lower prices.
Customs-friendly shipping will be provided by shipping duty pre-paid (DDP) from the US. While this increases the shipping cost for international pledges, it makes sure delivery is as smooth as it can be. I typically only offer DDP shipping and local fulfillment from UK/AUS based centers during crowdfunding campaigns, so now is the best time to pick up a copy of any book you've been looking to get your hands on!
Certain locations, like Brazil, are risky to deliver packages to (even DDP) and I encourage backers in those regions to back digitally unless they are familiar with the ins and outs of receiving imports to their country.

Risks
I've run three crowdfunding campaigns like this one before, and I'm well versed in fulfilling them in a timely manner and with quality as the number one focus. The campaign itself from a backer standpoint is therefore relatively risk free. The main risks for me as the creator are the constantly shifting threats of increased tariffs to the US. Prices that I may expect to pay now to create physical rewards might change over the next year as this project develops. That said, I have the tools I need to make sure that no matter what happens (within reason of course) those unknowns won't impact the campaign or my ability to deliver it.
Terms and Conditions, and Other Things to Know
I like to be clear and upfront about what to expect and what my policies are for various other miscellaneous things that might come up. You'll find details about refunds and fulfillment below.
Communication I will send out regular updates on the project page throughout production and fulfillment, at least once a month (sometimes more frequently, as needed). I am usually good about responding quickly, and you can always email me at [email protected] if you need help with your pledge.
Refunds I will grant refunds for pledges within 30 days of the campaign's end date, no questions asked. After that, I cannot grant refunds and if you choose not to fill out your survey or pay shipping and tax on time, your pledged amount will be considered a donation toward the project.
Fulfillment
Fulfillment of digital rewards is being targeted at December 2025, and fulfillment of physical rewards is being targeted at May 2026.
Once physical fulfillment has begun (once physical items start shipping out to backers), all remaining backers who have not yet filled out their surveys will have 30 days to complete and submit their surveys to receive their rewards. After that, any backers who have still not filled out their surveys and paid their shipping and taxes will have their pledges for physical items considered a donation toward the project.
Dates and deadlines will be made clear through campaign updates, and reminders will be sent on a regular basis throughout the post-campaign timeline to remind backers who haven't yet completed their surveys.
Damaged or Missing Items, and Lost or Misdelivered Packages You have 30 days after your package arrives to report to [email protected] any needed replacement items for damaged or missing items in your order. If your order was damaged, be sure to include pictures of the packaging as well. For packages that go missing, you have 45 days to report it after the item is sent (or 60 days for international packages) to have me resend or follow up on the items. Packages that are sent to an incorrect address as a result of an error in your entry will require you to pay for shipping the new package. You will be notified before addresses are locked, and will have a chance to update your address until just before fulfillment begins. If you move or your address otherwise changes, be sure to update your address in your survey.
Backers are responsible for providing correct and up to date email addresses on BackerKit, and for reading updates as they are made to keep informed about this information and the deadline dates. Tracking information for packages will be sent to the provided email addresses, so it is the backer's responsibility to follow up on their packages should problems arise.
Crowdfunding is not the same as Pre-Order Backing the project means pledging your support for the project itself, and is not strictly the purchasing of items. While I will do everything I can to deliver all promised items as part of fulfilling this project with your help, and have a solid track record of having fulfilled multiple projects of similar scale already, there is never a 100% guarantee that backers will receive their items with crowdfunding. By pledging, you recognize this and agree to it.
