I couldn't be happier with how the game is looking. This is such a special milestone in the game's production and we couldn't have gotten here without your support. I cannot wait until you can hold these yourselves and take a closer look at the beautiful art by Ripley and all of our guest illustrartors.
Pledge Manager Coming Soon
The smoke test of surveys has been sent out today to ~5% of you to make sure there are no issues. After tomorrow, I will be sending out the remaining surveys so you can adjust your pledge, grab some add-ons, and answer any needed fulfillment Qs. Please note we are not yet charging shipping as it will be calculated closer to fulfillment.
The Elephant in the Room
You have likely heard that the current situation with tariffs on imports from China is having big impacts on the tabletop industry. This project is unfortunately directly subject to those tariffs, now at an untenable 145%. This means that, at the current rate, I am simply unable to import these into the US.
What does this mean for The Time We Have?
I am still committed to bringing this game to release. The current plan is to hold on manufacturing/shipping until the tariffs come down to a more manageable rate. What that timeline looks like right now, I really can't say. But know I am actively working on a best solution to avoid having to delay this game for too long.
There is a world where tariffs come down to a rate that is well below the current level but remain a significant added cost. In that scenario, there may be a small additional cost for physical backers that would be reflected when we charge shipping. This will be communicated transparently if it becomes the solution.
For now, I am hopeful that we can stick with a Fall fulfillment/release, but that is all dependent on where things land tariff-wise. I'll keep you updated as I have more information and thank you so much for your patience.

Just look at all those cards! Our manufacturer is currently taking all files to digital proof which means the next step is a physical preproduction copy sent to me in April. Keep an eye out for pictures of that in my next update!! I particularly can't wait to show you the Special Edition packaging.
This means we are on track for having copies of the game in hand by early fall, assuming no unforeseen delays (knock on wood).

This is a worldbuilding game that asks you to push beyond the expected tropes and touchstones of traditional western fantasy. These are just 7 of the 13 that will be included in the base game (16 for the special edition!). I am so excited about how they are coming together.
Each one represents a unique setting/infection to use as inspiration for your playthrough of the game and will vastly change the context of your conversation while playing.
Progress Report
Sam has just finished editing the full text of the game. Next step is to implement those changes and lock the manuscript. Ripley is working on the special edition cover. Simultaneously I am getting the files ready to go for manufacturing.
By the next update, all files should be with the printer! Which puts us on track for a Late Summer/Fall fulfillment.
Keep an eye out for the pledge manager in the next couple of months.

This month I have been receiving pitches and writings from our Guest Writers and starting to share those along to our Guest Illustrators.
Oh my god, some of these door cards are going to blow your minds. When I sought out this group of writers, I was hoping for some wild interpretations of a "zombie virus" and that is exactly what I have gotten. A little preview:
A witch's vengeful curse that is turning people into beasts
A virus affecting the citizens of Hell that is... good?
A weaponized virus in the trenches of WWII
And that's just 3 of 12!
This month is a big writing month. Next month I should have some new visuals to share as our guest illustrators deliver their work. ALSO Ripley has begun work on the special edition cover so stay tuned for that!
ANOTHER Actual Play?
You bet! The incredibly talented folks at Unprepared Casters have put out a filmed one shot of The Time We Have on their patreon. The episode features Amelia and Haley as brothers reckoning with a feywild infection. It is set in the wider universe of their show and is a great example of how you might use this game to go deeper within a longer campaign.
These two are so incredibly talented and it is a heartbreaking watch. Highly recommend joining their patreon to check it out (for just $2!).
What's Next?
These next two months will be focused on getting all the writing, illustration, and card design in order. We are aiming for files to the printer by March which will keep us on track for games to be in my hands over the summer.
OH! One more thing - we are going to be able to afford Spot UV on the game packaging! Which is just one of those little production touches that makes me so happy. (and is all thanks to your support!)
