Project Update: Rainbows Flew into the Roost~! Gold Panic?
The rainbow duo showed up at my home while I was in San Jose for Further Confusion (thanks to everyone who popped by to say hi and check out the Weighted Wonder sample :D) and look at em! They're charmers!
I think they came out so good!
Super happy with them and their sparkles are genuinely so rainbow in real life! It's hard to capture on still camera and even on video, but I'll try when I have my lightbox more properly set up!
I'm still researching which LGBT+ associated charity their sales will go toward, but if you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Some people seemed to assume, and it may have been my wording, that the last post was the FINAL prototype of the Gold Dragon and panicked changed their selection.
I assure that was NOT the final version and I have, based on feedback, both from backers and fellow designer peers, do a 2nd draft prototype with the main body/head/legs/wing fingers as a minky fur like all the other dragons
This is the reason we do prototypes, to see what works and what doesn't. Converting a piece of art to a final draft product has hurdles most people don't imagine, including, especially in this case, limited color choices within the range a particular producer makes. Mixing a different producer's faux fur or laser fabric to access more color ranges comes with it's own set of problems and I try to avoid that as much as possible.
2nd draft will include a fur + the laser fabric for belly and horn with a more gold filigree embroidery since I felt the first was too dark.
~~~
Reveal of final Warmable Wonder prototype will be delayed due to a safety issue found with our last (and thought, final) prototype and we are having to go back to the drawing board a little on fixing the warming element and it's implementation.
I rather delay a reveal and ascertain something is both safe and easy to use than rush it. I doubt this delay will affect the actual fulfillment schedule, but if it does, it would only be by a few weeks/potentially a month and that's a small miracle in any campaign as large as this lol.
Nipping this question in the bud because it is THE most repeated question (and is now answered in the FAQ), if you opted to pay with AfterPay, you will NOT receive your Backer Survey until the balance is paid.
For most of you that will mean in April, which will give you weeks to select your color(s), buy any add-ons, etc, before fulfillment begins, so there is no rush to do this.
Additionally, if you purchased add-ons, your card will not be charged until surveys are locked, so do not be surprised when those charges go through later on in early spring.
A little update for you all covering a little bit of everything! Thank you!!!!
