Important Update: U.S. Tariffs & International Shipping
Dear Backers,
When this campaign ended in January, I explained that shipping fees and taxes would be calculated later so you would receive the most accurate rates. Over the past several months, I’ve been working hard to manage these challenges and explore every possible way to keep shipping affordable.
Unfortunately, a few unexpected factors have affected fulfillment:
My ongoing health challenges delayed shipping beyond my original goal of August 22–26. In addition, I was carefully monitoring early shipments to ensure backer orders arrived safely under the new restrictions before sending out more. I sincerely apologize for not meeting that timeline.
Recently, a backer pointed out an important change to U.S. Customs rules: the removal of the de minimis exemption. This new rule ordered by the government now requires border taxes on goods manufactured outside North America, including our enamel pins, even for small orders.
For some international destinations, my courier no longer offers affordable options. Because of this, I’ve had to pause fulfillment temporarily while I confirm methods that are both compliant and cost-effective.
What this means going forward:
Updated shipping fee estimates will be sent shortly. (cover transportation not customs)
When you receive your order, your country’s customs office may charge an additional tariff or fee. This goes directly toward customs clearance; I do not add any markup.
If the receiver refuses to pay, the item won’t be delivered, item is abandoned/destroyed
Only purchased enamel pins (10 or more) qualify for free shipping. Free bonus items (such as stickers or extra pins) do not count toward this total.
International backers (UK, Australia, etc.): Shipments are on hold due to extremely high rates. I am actively looking for better options before releasing these parcels.
I know these delays are frustrating, and I deeply appreciate you're understanding as I work through both health setbacks and rapidly changing trade policies.
Please know I’m also in contact with the BackerKit team to explore the best solutions for these new shipping and tariff requirements.
I understand some backers may be concerned about the added shipping and tariff costs. If you are unable or unwilling to cover these additional fees, please reach out to me directly in my email.
While I cannot guarantee full refunds due to BackerKit and payment processing fees already spent, I will do my best to work out a fair solution. I have also reached out to BackerKit for advice, but have not yet received a reply.
Please know I am fully committed to fulfilling every pledge and will continue to communicate openly as progress is made.

Technical Glitch – Duplicate Items
Recently, I discovered a system error that caused a few backer orders to duplicate some items unintentionally and that is why it took so long. As a result, some orders temporarily appeared to have more items than were actually purchased.
To correct this, I’ve been reviewing affected orders manually. If your order was impacted, you may have received a cancellation notice, don’t worry, your real items are still safe, those that paid are already paid and will be shipped as planned.
Only the duplicate/unpaid items were removed. Sorry, Backerkit staff told me this was the only way to fix the issue.
Shipping Status
I'm now preparing packages and shipping in waves through August and September. If you haven't received a shipping invoice yet, it’s because I’m still finalizing your shipping fee based on your item count and location.
If you order 10 pins or more, you will still receive free shipping as promised! I will send a confirmation email to all eligible backers.
Shipping Fee Invoices (For Orders Under 10 Pins)
If your order does not qualify for free shipping, I’ll be sending you an invoice via shopify shortly. You’ll be asked to confirm your shipping address and complete payment before your order is shipped.
Note: The free Froggy Lotus pin does not count toward the 10-pin free shipping promotion.

At the end of July, I experienced an unexpected health setback and was hospitalized. I'm doing much better now and deeply appreciate your kindness, patience, and support during my recovery.

Thank you so much for your support and your patience. I want to sincerely apologize for the lack of updates, especially after I had promised to stay in touch. I understand that the silence may have caused confusion or anxiety, and I truly regret that.
The delay was due to a serious medical emergency that required time to recover. It was a near-death experience, and during this time I have been slowly regaining strength. I am incredibly grateful to be back and able to complete this project.
That said, the pins are ready! Once you complete your BackerKit survey, I will begin shipping your rewards. I will first send the smoke test surveys (some surveys as a test run)later this day and if it is successful I will send all of the surveys this week or the following week!

Hello, I know it's been almost a year since the project ended and some orders were sent out; but I was wondering if there were any updates for USA orders since tariffs seem to have been classified as illegal and (might) be removed?
