I just returned from a great Gamehole Con in Wisconsin where I ran a couple Han Cluster games, connected with some amazing players and even a few Han Cluster backers! It really was a beautiful time with friends and fellow gamers. While I was away, though, our production samples for the Han Cluster books arrived in Tucson! As soon as I got home, I was able to look at them, and they are absolutely beautiful. I'm so excited for you to all get ahold of them! For pictures of the samples, scroll down a bit!
Shipping Plans
Alright! We're coming down to it. The bulk printing on all products is nearing completion. This means they'll be transferred to a freight forwarder very soon, and on their way across the water to the US and the UK. This process usually takes about a month, and in the meantime, we're finalizing our shipping tables in BackerKit. We will not be locking addresses and charging for shipping until we have product IN HAND (past customs and ready to ship to you), but before we do, we'll give you an imminent heads up to expect charges to your credit cards. We'll also try to give a general idea of what shipping will cost for various scenarios before we actually charge the cards so you know what to expect. Meanwhile, NOW is a VERY GOOD TIME to go in and make sure your credit card is current and your final shipping address is correct. If you need to make changes, visit your survey (or request another email link to it on our project page under "Lost your survey?": https://han-cluster.backerkit.com/) and ensure your shipping address is correct!
Beyond that, we'll keep you posted as to the progress.
Local Pickup
For those of you local (or close) to the Tucson area, a "local pickup" option will be available for shipping in your surveys. Instructions will be given as to how to pick up your product in Tucson. This is also the option to pick if you've already made arrangements with us to get your product another way. We'll keep you posted on that option when we are ready to lock addresses.
Tariff Donations
As we promised from the very beginning, we will NOT charge any extra for whatever tariffs we, as a company, might owe on the import of our product. Whatever it ends up being (and this is still impossible to predict even as I write this), we'll pay it. However, we would like to offer those of you who do want to help out an OPTIONAL donation to help mitigate our tariff responsibilities. This is NOW available in the form of a special, multi-variant add-on in the Han Cluster Pre-Order Store. We have variants of $5, $10, and $25 for anyone who would like to help cover these unpredictable, and potentially debilitating extra costs. We want to reiterate that you have NO OBLIGATION to do this. You'll get your product either way (though you'll still need to pay shipping, of course). We just want to offer a possibility for those willing to spread the load a bit and make it possible for us to have something left over in our already meager coffers after fulfillment. It's not our fault, and it's certainly not your fault, but the burden remains at all our feet regardless.
