The Hojo became the first shoguns of Japan in the 12th Century, but they fell from power and disappeared in the 14th Century. A later samurai clan took their name (and their famous "Three Dragonscales" mon) to give themselves respectability. These later Hojo remained major players in the Kanto region until they surrendered their stronghold of Odawara Castle to Hideyoshi Toyotomi in 1590. Now you can revive the Hojo Clan again by wearing the sashimono that the Hojo soldiers wore into battle and carry their glory into the present day!
