Castle Whiterock has blown through every stretch goal so we've created MORE!!!
We're happy to reveal the new stretch goals past $400k. Since you already got us to $409k, you're getting a new stretch goal already. The short version is:
At $400k (which we've already cleared!!) - we'll unlock an add-on of new resin dice with tinsel inserts. More on that below, and you get to name the dice!
At $450k, more poster maps!
At $500k, more player handouts!
At $550k, unlock tarot deck add-on!
We've recorded a video explaining these new add-ons, and also answering some common questions: extra box to hold items, why we're not doing a Morrain / Cillamar gazetteer, the Castle Whiterock reference guide, gemstone dice packaging options, what exactly this tarot deck is...
Oh, and we also accidentally announced the upcoming Aereth boxed set plus Sezrekan's Tome of Eldritch Horrors & Ancient Evils, because we have to discuss those in order to explain a few other things. Watch the video for more!
Add On The New Resin Tinsel Dice!
So in addition to the gemstone dice already added, we are adding a new resin dice set. This $35 dice set has the full dice chain from d3 to d30. It's based on an idea we've been exploring with our dice manufacturer, Impact. The dice are clear resin with black and silver tinsel embedded inside, creating a cool multidimensional effect inside. These are now available as an add-on:
Is there a master list of which collab projects provide which rooms? Some of the other projects mention them, some don't. Of those that do mention them, some give explicit room numbers, some don't. From what I can see:
Room 1-5 - The Carnivorous Cauldron
Room 1-9 - 101 Dungeon Encounters
Room 1-12 - Castle Whiterock an Illustrated Journey
Room 1-14 - Tyche's Pouch
You’ve got a Free Trader. It’s space worthy … mostly. The ship’s mortgage is due soon, and your last job barely covered fuel. Supplies are low, crew morale is lower, and something in the jump drive still makes that noise you’re doing your best to ignore.
Now, a patron reaches out with three mission options:
Big update on how remarques will work for the Battle for Thuneworld Gallery and Studio Edition.
We originally explored doing custom sketches drawn directly into the books. After working through the production timeline, that was not going to be possible. The books need to be at the printer before we could collect requests, and we were not willing to delay the project to make it happen.
So here is the new plan, and honestly, we think it is going to be more fun.
Steve will draw remarque sketches live during the Saturday livestream.
Each sketch is numbered on screen as it is finished, like R1, R2, R3. Steve may take character suggestions from the chat, but he will draw what inspires him.
How to claim a sketch
THESE ARE THE FIRST 2 UP FOR GRABS - CLAIM THEM NOW!
1. Claim it in the YouTube, Facebook, or Backerkit chat When you see one you want, type MINE R1 or whatever number matches the sketch. First person to claim it gets it.
2. We confirm it live Once we confirm your claim in the chat, email [email protected] so we can verify your account and send next-step instructions.
3. Be on a Remarque tier If you are already backed at a Remarque tier ($749 Remarque or $1,199 Deluxe Remarque), you are set. If you are not on the right tier yet, you will have 24 hours to upgrade or the sketch goes back into the pool.
Good to know
One sketch per person. If you see one on a future stream that you like better, you can swap. Your previous sketch goes back into the pool for someone else to claim.
Every remarque sketch is sent to the printer and hand-stitched directly into your book. These are never sold loose or as separate pieces. They become part of the book.
Steve will draw at least one remarque per stream and may also have some completed ahead of time.
Remarque tier backers will be the first group to ship once books are in house, right behind retailers.
When we hit $75,000, we’ll send a full studio care package of books to Comic Books for Troops, helping put comics and art books into the hands of service members around the world. From Steve's studio to wherever it finds them.
I want to be upfront and just say that clothing isnt an option because of the cost, bulkiness or packages and management is hard. However I am happy to add tote bags!
