Project Update: New artwork for the game !

Hello everyone!

Here's a new artwork for the game proposed by William Bonhotal! It represents the new graphic quality we're aiming for in the book. Don't you just love it?

They were definitely in the cards tp produce earlier so the issue is clearly the backlash you got I think the backlash could've come a lot from it being the second upgrade to the dice, keyword being upgrade you could just add the 25mm dice or upgrade them and add something else But a poll can't hurt, then you'll now whether people didn't want the dice or people didn't want a second upgrade. Worst thing that a vote can show is that you made a mistake and you would be praised if you corrected it if that is the case

This is my first big box. I was excited about the idea of having 25mm dice, but unfortunately, the stretch goal was replaced by blank cards. Honestly, I've never used them before, because I don't know what to write on them to match the game's mood. I hope the dice make a comeback in the campaign."

Hey everyone, it's D, and I'm so hype that you're going to be on this crazy ride with me this month. Feel free to drop questions here, or tell me what you're most excited about for this campaign.

I'll be going live today at 5:00pm EDT on the Onyx Path Twitch to play Chrono Trigger and chat with folks about the campaign. Feel free to join me and celebrate launch day!

We're live, folks! Thank you for your support, but don't forget to get the word out - share it everywhere and get your gamer friends and contacts on board! Get your gaming group excited about a sci-fi campaign and get them to bid! The faster we fund, the faster we can raffle off those AA books AND start knocking down stretch goals!

Also, let's get some conversation going here! What's your favorite genre of sci-fi? What do YOU want to do with 13p at your table? Mix it with Wasted Lands for science fantasy? Go Aliens with it and mix with Night Shift? Or just go pure sci-fi - cyberpunk, post-apocalypse, space opera, hard sci-fi, or something else?

Project Update: Enter the Gates! - Draft Manuscript Preview #1 for Backers

Hello Heroes!

My name is James, and I’ll be your Onyx Path Crowdfunding Concierge for this new tabletop roleplaying game project - At The Gates. I’ll be updating the campaign as we go, hopefully adding Stretch Goals, answering questions, and providing support wherever needed as best I can.

I’ll note that I’m not part of the creative team on this project – so I won’t be able to immediately answer some of the more intricate rules or design inquiries – but having me manage this Crowdfunding campaign allows Danielle and the whole team of developers and writers to keep their focus on the awesome projects that they’ve got in the works.

That said, feel free to make me your point person for any questions or issues you may have. I'll make sure to dig up answers as quickly as possible and clear up any issues that arise. Mostly, I'm just looking forward to an exciting ride along with all of you on this (and future) projects.

This comment section is for all members of this community – united by our shared desire to see this project fund and develop – to cheerlead the project and figure out how best to spread the word about what we’re building here. If you’ve started a thread on whatever social media platform exists today or a Discord conversation about the game or this campaign – let me know about it so we can share that info. If you’ve discussed the game on a blog or podcast, let’s hear about it! If you’ve got funny ideas for social media hashtags, well we can do those too!

I will also be the person who gets to share the updates and previews with you! As noted on the main page and in the pledge descriptions, I also get to share an exciting treat – The At The Gates Draft Manuscript previews, so you can start reading the book immediately! Scroll down to the bottom of this post on the website to see the first BACKERS-ONLY update for a download link.

So, welcome to Crowdfunding by BackerKit! Welcome to the world of Gaia, the continent of Everend, and At The Gates! And now let’s see what waits for us on the other side of the gates …

International Shipping – Collected in the Pledge Manager

One quick note about Shipping before we get into the manuscript previews.

First up, it's amazingly expensive to ship, especially from Onyx Path's home base in the US. We get that, but there's not much we can do at this time. Onyx Path is in a difficult space where the company is big enough that they're not saving money by fulfilling out of Rich's garage, but small enough that they can't really set up international partners to handle portions of the fulfillment. So we are where we are - for now.

The best we can do at this point is to plan carefully, advise everyone up front that international shipping will likely be expensive (see our projections on the main page) and only charge what it costs us when the time comes. We’ll be charging for shipping in the Pledge Manager once the books are being printed and we can deal with the actual shipping charges rather than using our best-guesses this far out. If you live outside the US and aren't sure you want the hardcover or other physical items, you can pledge to the PDF tier now and upgrade your pledge in the Pledge Manager once we know the final shipping costs.

DRAFT MANUSCRIPT PREVIEWS - BACKERS ONLY

Remember, thanks to BackerKit magic, these download links are visible to Backers only - you must be logged in and reading this on the website to have access to the manuscript preview links. So, if you're reading this via e-mail, click that "Read The Update" link on the bottom and I'll see you below the title treatment.

WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK

I'm going to be sharing the manuscript in sections over the next 30 days, Part of the reason for that is to keep focus on one section at a time so that Danielle and the team can gather feedback to help guide the manuscript through the next steps of editing and development. To that end, they've created a special Feedback Form for you to submit your comments after reading each section!

You can submit your Feedback here: AT THE GATES FEEDBACK FORM <link>

Project Update: Mel Rubi's Autograph Tip-In Added For All Terminator Set Levels!

The Terminator is almost here!  We've got just 4 hours left in the campaign before the T-800 is set in motion on its inevitable mission.  To celebrate the incredible fan response we've had, we are pleased to announce that we are going to include an autographed tip-in bookplate by Mel Rubi - the artist of The Terminator: The Dark Years mini-series - in each set of graphic novels purchased!  So whether you bought the trade paperbacks, the hardcovers, or the metal cover books - as long as you purchase a set at the special Backerkit discounted price - you will get the autograph for your collection!  These are exclusive to fans who supported directly!  Our additional way of thanking you.

We worked really hard to make sure these books were an incredible value for our Backerkit supporters.  If you purchase the trade sets each volume is only $30 but they are $39.99 retail and the hardcovers are $40 each in the sets but they are $49.99 retail.  You're saving $30 by ordering the sets in this project over waiting for the retail release next year in 2025.  That's all part of our special thank you to backers who have helped to make this project happen.

Please help us to spread the word so as many Terminator fans can get in on the special value before time runs out.  Thank you!

I'm pretty sure that we Will reach the 900k for the John book SG, and also (as a Munchkin collector) that the content in the box is above the total of the content bought indepently, and as You stated before, SJG don't want to lose money with this campaign. With that being said, I believe that the Best 1M SG can be a small new Game Changer expansion set, such as bosses, dungeons, side quests, Munchkinomicon, Fairy Dust, etc. A small 15-30 card pack exclusive to backers. Something that add some depth to the Game, knowing that most of us backers, had played munchkin for some years now. I think it's the most "budget friendly" we can get, and a very much appreciated one.
