The project is coming along well, I'm making super fast progress drawing the pages (no writing involved because I draw them right from memory!)
I have changed my drawing system a bit. I do a very loose sketch, then ink it. I used to draw True Noir Tales without sketching, but for this deluxe edition, I felt I needed to make it better than ever.
Here are some samples of the new art technique, they still need to be shaded.

We're getting ready to ship orders in the next several weeks, and wanted to update you on a few things. All of the extra VIP items are inbound, but some are taking a little more time than expected (particularly the coins)... we expect to have them by mid-October though, so that should be the last item to arrive before we're able to start shipping.

You may have already received an email notification from Backerkit, but if not, check your inboxes or check your Backerkit page directly. You will find all of the links and instructions on your personal Backerkit page (which you can access at https://magnetic-con-24.backerkit.com/). Once logged in, you should see a big blue button in the middle of the page that says "Get Your Digital Downloads" -- click on that to see your personal links for each item ordered.
The majority of the books are hosted by Gumroad -- you will have to follow the (simple) instructions to use your unique codes to download your files from Gumroad for free. 😊
A few titles (specifically CARBON GREY) are hosted by DriveThruRPG. Those codes and files have been emailed separately, although you will still find the instructions in your Backerkit. A handful of files are Direct Downloads hosted by Backerkit directly for download straight from your links page.
About the Tee Shirt Vouchers:
Your unique codes have been assigned to your Backerkit Page.
Simply select a tee of any design, color, or size and proceed to checkout. Enter your unique 7-digit code in the Discount Box, and the price of the shirt should be reduced to zero. (Note: You will still need to pay for shipping.) Your shirt will ship separately directly from Printful.
Note: the codes are single use and good for one shirt. You may transfer the code to a friend, but once it has been used, that's it.

Regarding TOPPI...
We have what will probably be disappointing news for four of you: our sales team didn't coordinate with our legal team to verify which titles we had digital rights to, and unfortunately, our publishing license to the TOPPI books does not include digital distribution. Mosquito specifically carved digital out of the agreement (for some reason). So those four of you who had digital TOPPI books in your order have already been refunded for those items. You should see that refund reflected back to your method of payment in 5-10 business days. Sorry about that! I'm not sure why they want to manage the digital publishing separate from the print publishing, but that's something we have no control over.

Natalie and I will be going through the script for a final lettering pass in the coming months as we're ready to wrap up production.

We've been working hard getting the print files for Karma 2 prepped and ready to be sent to press. Right now everything is compiled and the finishing touches are being applied to the printer files. We're discussing the paper and schedule for getting copies of Karma 2 printed and will keep you posted on its progress as we proceed.
We are hoping that the book will be on press by the end of the month. Then its just a matter of the printing, binding, and shipping of goods to us so we can begin fulfillment. Watch for more updates coming soon. Thanks!
Hello, backers! I hope this message finds you well. I'm delighted to share some great news. As you know, we had hoped to make $30,000 to increase it to 64-pages, but we only hit $25,000. After careful review, I've concluded I can afford to expand Ascendant: Star-Spangled Squadron from 48 to 56 pages. The extra 8 pages will enable us to "flesh out" some key scenes and let us decompress the story.
I'm also delighted to share new art work that Mel Joy San Juan has been producing for Star-Spangled Squadron Volume II.
In this scene, 12 Sigma is meeting with the popular podcaster Bo Rogain, who is suspiciously similar to Joe Rogan except for one difference. As with every good podcast, they delve into conspiracy theories... But perhaps they delve a little TOO deeply, because 12 Sigma soon gets a visit from the Squadron.
It takes all of the persuasive assets of the Squadron to convince 12 Sigma to ally with them.

All of the physical orders have gone out too, so you should be receiving those wherever you are in the world, in the next 2 to 4 weeks!

I was charged the full amount for my books even though I pledged for the Toppi books and when I did, it said that they would be deducted before I was charged. Please help me!
